E3: NCsoft making PSN games

Based on current and new IPs.

Sony announced at its E3 conference earlier this evening that NCsoft will be making games for the PlayStation Network.

There will be several of them, according to Sony America boss Jack Tretton, available for both PS3 and PSP - based on new and existing IPs.

It's the first time the specialised MMO publisher has entered the console market, although we're not sure exactly what form the games will take. Tretton's only hint of information was to call them "online" games, suggesting they will be smaller rather than epic Guild Wars-sized beasts.

But still, it's a firm step forward for Sony and its relatively new PlayStation Network.
