We're not sure we understand this one, but according to IGN, Midway is planning an exclusive sequel to Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance this summer on a Nintendo platform. Just not the one you'd expect.

Mortal Kombat Advance 2 (working title) is underway at the moment, and will feature new characters, a four-player link cable mode, and even options to interact with the GBA version of Deadly Alliance. Apparently there will be some sort of special data trading to unlock hidden bonuses in the new game.

Like we said, we're not sure if we understand this one, but IGN insists that the game will be around this summer (probably August).
