Hurricane Warning!

Bad news for non-3dfx owners - although the Glide version should be released as expected later today, the full demo version of Unreal Tournament might be delayed for a few days by Hurricane Floyd!

The massive storm is expected to pass close to Epic's base in Raleigh, North Carolina, and they've been forced to evacuate their offices. If the office's power goes down the second demo, which will support OpenGL, Direct3D and Software modes as well as Glide, may be delayed.

Good news for Creative Labs RivaTNT and TNT2 owners though - there's a new version of the Unified drivers available. These emulate Glide, which should allow you to play the 3dfx Unreal Tournament demo version, although it probably won't look very pretty.
