Toto Lake location & directions Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

We're not in Hyrule anymore, Toto

Getting around with vague directions can be tough in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not that I’m complaining! Vaguery in a Zelda game without a flashing dot on the map can be refreshing sometimes, especially when it comes to using cartography to pinpoint locales. Here’s where to find Toto Lake so you can get on with the main story quest.

Where to find Toto Lake (TotK)

In TotK, you can find Toto Lake located north of Zora’s Domain, above a large waterfall. The “lake” is quite small, and is mostly filled with broken ruins and a small rock formation that is incorporated into the main story. It’s relatively easy to get to, especially if you’re using the Upland Zorana Skyview Tower, or riding up the waterfall with the Zora Armor.

The exact coordinates of Toto Lake are 3418, 0883, 0401.

The Broken Slate quest guide Tears of the Kingdom (TotK)

In order to start The Broken Slate in Tears of the Kingdom, you need to have completed the Sidon of the Zora quest. You’re then told to talk to Jiahto at Toto Lake which is where we are.

You’ll need to repair the eponymous broken slate. You’ll find the stone tablet directly to the right of the broken slate. Unfortunately, the missing part is buried under sludge. Just use water to wash away the goop, and Ultrahand it over to the small cave and into the slot. Done! I used a Splash Fruit (which are available in great supply in the immediate area), but any water-based substance will do.

Once the stone piece has been slotted into place, Jiahto will spring into action to tell you what it says. You’ll find out that the tablet mentions the mark of the king. The Broken Slate quest is now complete, and your next destination will be back to Zora’s Domain to continue the story!
