Just 5 minutes drive from the picturesque villages of Alora and Pizarra. This camp site is ideally located for those wishing to get out and explore the local area including…. walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. If you are wanting to visit the Caminito del Rey then this is a good option to use as a base.

The site owners Tony and Tracey are keen motorcyclists and offer a moto friendly site to people from all walks of life. The site caters for tents, all types of caravans, 5th wheelers, motor homes and also have a limited number of large spacious plots for people who would like to long stay.

Site facilities include: Reception, Cafe Bar TT (themed on the Isle of Man TT motorcycle racing), swimming pool open from May to September, large shower block, outdoor washing up sinks.

Nearby towns include: Alora (5km), Cartama (9km), Casarabonela (11km), Carratraca (13km), Coin (13km)
Journey by Car: Pizarra and Alora (5min), Malaga Airport (25min), Torremolinos (30min), Benalmádena (35min), Fuengirola, Marbella (45min), Ardales Lakes, El Chorro Gorge and the Camino del Rey (25min)

Until further notice this camp site is closed to the public. (For other nearby camping see Camping Pizarra)….There does seem to be a dispute between the owners and the local town hall in Alora. However looking at the reviews across the web about this campsite it does sound like it is in desperate need of renovation. People complaining about the place being dirty and access for caravans very difficult.

Hopefully in the near future the campsite in El Chorro (which is just a short walk from the Caminito del Rey) will open once again in an improved state.

Don’t panic though as there are great camping, guest house and cabin options at the very nearby Olive Branch guest house….
