Instead of nerfing builds needed for these tanky ahh bosses, how about you focus on the classes that need buffs. Titans I’m praising you.
-
It will still do more damage then alot of supers, chill
-
Are we not getting a new row of artifact perks next week for act 2? Mostly involving sniper perks?
-
So instead of 8 mil… Hunters will still be doing 6 mil with little to no setup. Still more than the other classes as well… I will be surprised if it doesn’t get hit again.
-
Still gonna hit hard quit crying
-
Gun should have never reacted with nighthawk in the first place. Just feels like an oversight
-
You do realize that even with the 25% dmg buff its still going to be the strongest option right ?
-
Still Hunt was beating heavy weapons and not by a small amount that some of the exotic specials could by a large amount.
-
Bungie : we know titans are underperforming also bungie don't worry we'll nerf the other 2 classes so they are poop too then titans won't need a buff we have your money now time to nerf everything to increase in game playtime since we're loosing players rapid then off on holiday we go enjoy 😉
-
Bungie being bungie, nerfing things that do exactly what they're meant to do because "exotics are too powerful"
-
Don’t worry, by the time bungies done with the still hunt it will be in everyone’s vault not being used. Then they will ask why no one is using the gun anymore
-
Well it wasn't a full nerf, it was a nerf on celestial ONLY on the proc with the sniper rifle. Tbh it was hunter mains and bungies fault in the first place. They over used it, every new raid it was hunter only strat this only hunter that. Golden gun and proc sniper rifle.

Still hunt w/ celestial was doing a bit more than regular celestial goldie anyways. This should bring its damage to around the same area as goldie. -
So just use celestial and whisper now. With the new artifact mods, whisper is going to be a beast. Plus I'm sure Stillhunt will still be a viable option and I'm a hunter main.

They ruined caretaker and heffunds vengeance blighted chimera and all of spire of the watcher and many more bosses for casuals. They need to revert it like before. Salvations edge should feel more do-able for lesser teams. Some hunter prismatic builds in pve should be nerfed while titans and warlocks on prismatic should get slight buffs to balance classes. I’m a hunter main which is pretty obvious and still want a nerf although I’d rather there be no nerf considering “bungie nerf=Kill” pve is really struggling right now and it seems bungie is forgetting what made forsaken’s meta so good. If only they found the a way to make everything right. I get that it’s difficult nowadays though. -
While I agree it is a bit over the top, the issue is with the Witness that Still Hunt Hunters carry the majority of the damage. It is an issue with the design of the DPS phase and it is a shame they are nerfing something and not bringing something up. But let’s see how the new sniper mods perform.
-
It was only 25% buddy. It'll still be a top option, just not THE top option. The issue was that it wasn't just outperforming everything, it was MASSIVELY outperforming everything with as little effort as equipping 2 exotics and the Precision GG. I don't care what anyone says, that isn't healthy for the game. Yes, there's always been a meta for the game (I still remember using Fatebringer, Black Hammer, Gjallarhorn in D1), but over time (except a few small sections here and there), it's gotten far more leveled so you can use multiple builds and get similar results. Running 2 exotics and doing double the damage of basically everything else isn't ok. That being said, I AM curious to see if 25% will be too much and they'll scale it back to 15% or so. We'll have to see how everything stacks up though.
-
It's really not.
-
I agree… partially. The Still Hunt nerf was definitely necessary. The DPS was ridiculous, and you could use it from long range. However, nerfs are not healthy for the game, and down the line when Titan isn’t laying beaten in a gutter, maybe Still Hunt + Celestial could see a buff. But right now, it’s entirely too powerful.

The Celestial interaction has been nerfed by a 1/4 that's all. It should never have worked at all with one Super on just one Class in my opinion. Here's your new shiny gun...but it's only best on Hunter... That's bs -
Another example of Bungie creating a super powerful weapon/build then ruining it with nerfs. Surely they saw how powerful it was in testing before launch?
-
Now that the expansion is on sale the obviously broken pay 2 win exotics get nerfed. Que the music… Tale as old as Time…
-
It’s a sniper…that charges into a golden gun shot…who knew it’s powerful 🤷🏻♂️
-
Nah, it was a braindead broken build. It’ll still be broken just not as potent.
-
As a hunter main, no it's not. You're a fool if you didn't see a nerf coming when the gun launched. It will still be viable to use, just won't be the go-to gun for everything. You'll survive. This change is warranted. It's a problem when a special weapon is outperforming most heavy weapons and the other classes. What I want to see now, are weapons that focus on a titan and warlock super with exotic synergies just like SH and CN.

Edited by Zodleon: 7/12/2024 10:15:04 AMI made a post like 2 days after I got it telling ppl to enjoy it while it lasted because it was going to get nerfed. And deservedly so. I stacked so many things on titan to just barely compete with a bad still hunt hunter. And on my hunter (my main class) I'm pushing 8.2mil on the witness while I'm looking at average non hunters do 2-3mil. This thing was absolutely ridiculous. It was fun though, and I'm glad they didn't absolutely gut it.
-
The nerf is very justified. It will still be meta. There is no competition outside of maybe whisper with new artifact. Could've been much worse xD
