I don't like PvP and I'm terrible at it. I'm almost 60 years old and I very much doubt that'll ever like PvP or even get good at it.
Every time I'm forced into any of the PvP modes I hate it or I simply don't do it. All the Exotic quests that need 50+ PvP kills will never be finished. Ever.
If you force me into PvP I simply don't care if I take my team down with me. I'm miserable anyway.
And with the recent nerfs to Pinnacle rewards I feel like you simply don't care that there are people who don't like PvP.
So I'm asking you for at least one path in the Pathfinder that can be done without PvP.

You do realize this developer doesn't care, right? For the last 10 years, this developer has been cramming one of the worst PvP game modes today in gaming down the community's throat despite a good portion of the community saying they don't like it. Yet this developer constantly does it anyway. That's a great way to show you appreciate your fans 👍 It's no different from how PvP gamers don't like running PvE content, but it is required because of the task this developer sets to show numbers. I mean, they tried to revive a dead game mode by only putting in minimal effort, Gambit. The solution despite the people who troll on this forum or the ones who are trying to push their option as theirs is the only one. Players choice should always be an option in gaming no matter what, but this developer has been fighting that for 10 years now and will constantly look for ways around the actual solution so they can avoid it. This developer doesn't solve problems, they create problems.

Ignore it and play whatever you find fun, lifes too short to bother with Bungies bs.
-
Bungie, don’t try to shoehorn me into pve
-
I know they said they were supposed to do avoid that by adding more generic nodes that can be completed in any activity but seems like IB screwed that up somehow by adding more PVP nodes. Simplest solution would just be to add a node reroll option so we can just change a node to something else so we don't get shoehorned into things. Course the more involved process would be to separate each ritual mode into it's own pathfinder so like back when we had bounties we could still get a pinnacle in whatever mode we chose. Though the odds of that happening are slim since I don't think Bungie is willing to put in the effort to do that.
-
You hit the nail right on. I've said the exact same thing more than a few times here. Only got rude comments. But its obvious Bun geez only cares about elites tubers and influencers. Us common gamers have to take the leftovers and the get gud or quit comments.

I'm pretty sure the Pathfinder is an extra resource for obtaining Pinnacles that we didn't have before meaning it is a good thing, for PvP my advice is don't try so hard, clearly you don't plan on going to the lighthouse anytime soon, so coming from a veteran crucible player if playing crucible is absolutely unavoidable for you to reach the Pathfinder Pinnacle then take my advice, when you go into a match don't try to push to the frontlines find a good pulse rifle or scout rifle feel it out to see what you prefer something like dead man's tale might be a good option , stay behind your team let them lead and just play support from cover don't worry about what other players say either play safe retreat when necessary and fall back to your team whenever you find yourself without back up, and the main thing is just have fun don't take a crucible match so seriously remember Destiny is a game your supposed to enjoy it. Good luck

"I'm forced to do pvp" is like being locked in a cage and holding the key.
-
The logical thing to have done would be for Pathfinder to have separate paths for each of the core playlist activities. Instead Bungie want to push people into multiple groups playlists because that’s how they want the game to be played and to get people out of their comfort zones. I really enjoy several aspects of D2 but when I feel that I’m continually being pushed into activities I don’t want to participate in then my response has been to reduce the time I spend playing the game.
-
Crazy, I thought only the Gen Z players would act so entitled…
-
If you don't have to play pvp, I shouldn't have to play raids to get all the loot.
-
Pvp has been made worse and worse in recent years. It used to be fun, but it's a boring team shot fest now. You don't lose anything by not participating.
-
Edited by NotCreative123: 7/11/2024 6:27:17 PMIf you don't like PVP, then you've never played it with friends who take it seriously... It is waaayyy more fun when you play with people who know what they're doing and are willing to help
-
I hate pvp as well, but I'm forced into pvp, to get more pinnacle gear, i was doing ib all last week, now I've got to the point of quitting as it's the same thing everyday, gambit pvp, or pale heart, i would like to do goa on master, raids and learn other dungeons but being 90% solo, i can't do anything else, as fireteam finder is a pile of crap.
-
Feel you, it’s crazy they do this in a pve game
-
You know, I dislike pvp but from time to time I want to do it. But I feel for you, because they said they were going to adjust the pathfinder so that there would always be a way to complete a path to the pinnacle reward without going into pvp, and that has not happened. You should be upset. I am.
-
You'd get more support if you'd advocate for being able to complete Pathfinder with a macro.
-
You're not forced to do anything. You don't have to do Pathfinder.
-
I hope to be as entitled as you when I’m almost 60. I can’t wait 😂
-
Use Vanguard or Gambit to get those. Those are mostly (if not completely) PvE. I'm about a decade behind you and I've managed to complete Pathfinder using those.
-
It’s not our fault that you can’t give enough of a -blam!- to try. PvP players don’t wanna play PvE. If you’re not gonna do a PvP quest, then fine, but at least give enough of a -blam!- to not drag your team down. It’s basic common courtesy.
-
If you don't do it, you're not forced. You're almost 60, and you should know what the word "forced" means by now. The same way I dont subject myself to the tedium of strikes you aren't forced to do pvp. I don't want ppl who don't want to be in pvp in my lobbies either. So I agree what you're asking for both pvp players and pve pve players being able to complete pathfinder in their preferred modes.
