Vault space and exotic class items.

I think there should be a system to save acquired class items without using vault space. There aren't any stats tied to the drops and there really should be duplication prevention. With all the variants to collect and the farm to achieve them being very time consuming I think there should be a way to save the blue prints or have them shaped. With having three characters a 100 slot vault space increase isn't enough.

  • Totally agree. I now stored 45 exotic cloaks and exhausted my vault space. In a game where anytime something can go meta or become useful there should be more space to save stuff. Exotic class items should be able to be drawn from collections for example. I mean, we play this game to collect all the cool loot, so let us store it please!

  • Who says you’re supposed to hold onto every variant? Y’all are obsessive hoarders and that’s why they don’t bother. It makes a gameplay loop they don’t have to put any effort into it. Just make you think you need to hoard and let you waste your time grinding

How many class items do you need ? 1 Legendary and maybe 2 different exotic ones. Do you really need one for each combinations ? Also there is a way to save class items without using any vault space, it is called inventory.

    • If there are data behind any game item, there should be a way, once any combination of the perks was achieved, way to allow user to re-craft the item with that perks at max possible level. But lets be honest, D2 is dead already, most of current players just jumped to hype train, soon they will fell off ... if the vault, craft system, whatever workaround was not in the backlog, or even already coded, all you can got is the vault increase space, maybe, Bungie is all about grab money, think later. QoL is waaay down on their to do list. "I don't even have time to explain why I don't have time to explain."

    • I don't actively mow my lawn every day but when I need it I go and get it from the garage. The same with all the other tools I have collected over the years. If I get a better one that is the exact same type then yes I will replace. But the variants of the exotic classes alone take up a lot of unnecessary space.

    • The vault wouldn’t be needed if the collections tab actually kept track of every perk you had randomly drop on a weapon and then allowed you to craft weapons with perks you had unlocked for them. The collections tab being a jpeg museum is such a wasted opportunity.

bungie gives us 100 more vault . but here is the problem they can't count . there are 192. variations of class items . spread across 3 characters . this class item thing is the tic in the wood. getting it ,trying them the resources it cost to use them ,are enough to straight up quit playing destiny. if you look at the big picture and how low bungie went with it.

        • Speaking of QoL and space, I can only assume that there has to be some way of transforming enhancement cores in to glimmer since no one is adressing that issue. I don't think I'm playing an insane amount but the numbers of cores is creeping up in the thousands. What do you do with them?

        • What about two Vaults... One is the current 700 one. Then make a 2nd Vault which only holds Exotics. Make it 300 Slots. Now have 1000 slots total and should be enough. Then, let us Organize the dam vaults better. Into like Weapon Type.

          • You have 700 slots. Delete stuff you don't use. No. You don't actively use everything in your vault. Roughly 233 slots each of your 3 characters.

            • Bungie seemingly leaning into Exotics having random perks more and more is only going to make this problem worse down the road, too.

            • When one cleans one’s weapon after usage, one puts it away in one’s gun cabinet or armoury…ready and waiting for its next outing. That’s what is needed…especially for our most-used or -favoured weapons…with high kill counts, especially. We had something like that before…one side for weapons and the other for armour. The current vault system can’t cope with the flood of new, and often better, weapons and armour pieces, even though we now have 700 slots…it never could. Some players get by on a handful of slots / pages…meanwhile, other players - like me, are always close to nearly full at all times. As weapons come and go, and come back again, and then go again, only to come back again - only adds to the problem. Rinse…Repeat…Reskin… I would love to put my favourite weapons in my own virtual gun cabinet / armoury…to then be able to get them out again - in exactly the same condition as when I put them away, ie, with their kill counts and g-rolls unchanged! Same goes for those few bits of most favoured armour pieces. Nature, like my vault, like any cupboard or storage space - abhors a vacuum (empty space)…’twas ever thus. Now, I’m burning lesser used exotic weapons to be make space for the flood of some tasty weapons that I just don’t want to discard. I now spend too much time scouring my vault…and it’s not fun…and I don’t like it. The virtual gun cabinet / armoury mentioned above should have been available from way back. Go figure?! 🤔 BTW: what someone keeps in their vault is their own business. So, before the BDF / ‘hoarder’ comments show up - eff off and mind your own beeswax! 😉 Ease springs! 🫠

            • You should only have one and acquire exchangeable perks. Like with weapon catalysts and perks.
