Make class exotic items attainable solo.
Add a solo version of dual destiny or add the class exotic item to the general loot pool for the pale heart upon completion of the story.

Edited by Heretic: 7/10/2024 6:07:00 AMIt isn’t going to happen. I would bet this wouldn’t even be an issue for most if this mission wasn’t dual destiny and was a normal match made 3 player mission. Either way it’s a choice Bungie have made. I have to say that I have no issues either way, people should be able to play the game the way they want to (psuedo MMO light, RPG, Looter Shooter, Space Opera etc). Personally I have not touched the Prismatic class since the story, it was a lazy option to actually give players a proper new class. I also guess I just don’t care enough to bother with the Pale Heart or LFG with toxic players like the ones commenting about how easy or good the mission is, instead of respecting how others choose to play.

Doesn’t really matter to me much, but I’m always for more non boring ways to get things. I’ve got zero interest in farming the current methods to obtain trash rolls every time.

1 ReplyJust leave the game. Everyone else is. It's one thing to make bad choices for the health of the game, it's quite another to ignore the massive feedback and mass Exodus of players. Destiny is dead for me until they reverse every cooperative focus change they've made. They are a bunch of supercilious failures at life who want to spread their gatekeeping philosophy through everything they create (copy/paste) from other, better games.

yes bungie needs to think fun not bottle the game up with heavy mechanics and long grinds . nothing wrong with light mechanics that are fun and can be learned in minutes with match making . it's what the game has always needed. times are changing players want drop in ready fun they can hit the road running. just ask sony.

Edited by V21075: 7/11/2024 6:02:00 PMI’ll start by saying I’m a solo player generally but don’t have any issues teaming up for exotic content in general, I don’t do raids or dungeons because the impatience level is high with seasoned raiders and people who do dungeons in my, admittedly, limited experience. With that out of the way, my main issue with dual destiny is not the mission, or how many people you ned to do it, or any of that stuff, my main issue is that Bungie promoted this item as something that was part of the prismatic class, then proceeded to put the item that was of most interest behind a mission and said nothing, as matter of fact they still haven’t said anything to address a large part of the communities questions about it either. I don’t have it and I can’t be bothered jumping though busy work hoops you have to do to get it, so I’m good, but what I will say is that there are people who bought the expansion on the promise of an exotic bond, mark or cloak and they now can’t get this item because Bungie deem it necessary to push people in to something they don’t want to do. Why can’t it just be a drop from a chest in the Pale Heart for those who want to get it that way without doing the mission? Why is there such an elitest mentality by the players who did the mission? Who cares how a solo player gets their gear anyway? And finally, to Bungie, why wont you comment on this issue? Overall I don’t need the exotic class item, would I farm for it if it was in chests? Probably not any more that I farm chests and events to rank up my failsafe rep, but some people really do want the item and really should be pushed into doing team based missions if they dot want to.

It's like Bungie is sending their minions to do damage control. For the longest time, some of the same people said no to match-making with certain activities that are not end-game content. Always have to try to shut down ideas/suggestions to improve the gamers experience, just like this developer that strives for that, that is a huge issue. Like WTH is wrong with people these days 🤦♂️ Some act as if the padded play time in this game isn't out of control. In fact, it's absurd how much padded playtime has been added to the game in the last 2 years. I was running the Vanguard playlist last night to get the power engrams and I can't believe how the playtime has doubled if not tripled running it. It shows how desperate this developer is to show numbers. People just want to play and not feel they have to jump through lame hoops all the damn time because of this developer's obsession with padded playtime to show numbers. After looking at the odds of getting something decent, screw that.

Then you can go back to stomping Patrol and Strikes with your complete overkill build.

So first off, you do know it is a part of the pale heart loot pool for any chest you open, right? Also, why would they make a solo version of dual destiny. It's literally in the name that you need someone else.

Easiest exotic mission ever. You barely have to speak, you could probably finish it by saying fewer than 20 words.

I get that the anxiety is real when trying to play this mission with another person, trust me I had my own issues doing it but I was able to find someone who was patient with me and knew what they were doing. For symbols, just describe it to a person and they should be able to figure it out and for the clock puzzles, just take your time to study the patterns and if possible maybe get a friend to help identify the bits you need to shoot either by discord call or twitch or something. The patterns won't change until you get it wrong so you can have multiple chances to figure out which nodes you need to focus on. Once you are able to finish the mission once on a character they will begin to drop from chests in the Pale Heart so you can solo farm to your heart's content then. Unfortunately if you have multiple characters you will need to do it once on the others too for them to start dropping in the Pale Heart for those characters. Also might be worth watching guides for it to help understand how the mission works. However once you get that mission done at least once, you won't need to do that mission on that character and can just farm the Pale Heart for them going forward.

Only problem I've got with these class items is there needs to be some kind of knockout system on the rolls. I've got way to many duplicates. At this rate we will be at destiny 10 by the time I get the roll I want. That's the real issue especially if you run the mission over and over.
