ban all the macro user
For real bungie, you said it’s not allowed to use macros, now everyone is using them to farm exotic class items. Now show some guts and ban all these people, they have a clear advantage to other player. Doesn’t matter if streamer or not, using macros is against the terms and is comparable to cheating.

1 ReplyMacros are always a grey area when it comes to bans because they are an accessibility feature. Since this macro is set up in a way that could be replicated without it, I don't feel it's bannable. Nothing is stopping anyone from just doing the exact same thing the macro does, but manually.

I’m not using it but a ban? Nah that’s harsh. If they were super worried they’d patch it. Theres actual players that deserve bans for cheating or toxic behavior etc. If they’re going to hand out bans it should be focused on those two categories.

10 RepliesYep, the grind is disgusting, it seems literally impossible to get the role you want. A 1 in 64 chance every 1 hour of constant chest opening because people don't want to do the dual anymore after glitch was patched. I'm beginning to give up on trying, it's a big flop for me, not to mention prasmatic as a titan main.

That means 90% of the rolls I will get are an immediate dismantle. I’ll just use the main exotic until they do something about this.

Why is this a discussion worth having? None of this would be happening if they hadn’t patched the double class item bug. It’s downright hilarious that the influx of players switching over to chest farming post double class item nerf led to this AFK chest farm in the first place.

Wait! So a person using a device that allows them to walk around a non-public area to open chests for a small chance of getting an exotic armor piece with a large perk pool is hurting your playing time? Wow.

Console player here. What a snitch, let them have their fun. I never understood the bitterness against those who can have something you’re unable to attain. Them having a few extra class items doesn’t take any away from you.

I don't use macros, but who cares honestly. Does it affect your experience? No. The only bad macros are for titan skating, they fixed it a while back, but it's still the fastest method to go in a straight line besides grapple hook, it's just stupid in pvp and should be fixed

2 RepliesI’m a console player and I couldn’t care less about this macro. They’re getting roughly a drop an hr, that’s not a big deal. Someone finally getting the class item they wanted after a month of farming doesn’t affect my game one bit, and I completely understand, chest farming isn’t for everyone, I just happen to find it relaxing.

Found this on a very old post: "Automating trivial tasks (especially for accessibility reasons) is allowed. Players will only punished for automation when it circumvents challenges all players face during gameplay (auto-aim, trigger-bot, etc)"

People before: stop complaining about dual destiny; two players is how Bungie wants the game to be; play Destiny like it's meant to be played or just do without the prismatic class item altogether. Many of the same people now: stop complaining about the use of macros. Sure, it's not how the game was meant to be played but the prismatic class item roll I want is really inconvenient to get.

3 RepliesI am console and some of my PC friends use that macro. I join them and eager edge just to mess up the preset route and then follow them. It’s pretty funny.

The ToS actually specify when accessibility devives can be used. Obviously if they are needed then its fine and its also fine if they do not give you an advantage (i.e. its bannable if you use it to remove recoil in PvP) and youre not doing something with them you wouldnt already be able to do. Given anyone can go out and farm chests using a macro to do it is fine, its also fine if youre using it when you are otherwise not able to play as long as its not playing the game for you in a way that you yourself could not do if you were to play the game. TL;DR its fine to macro if what youre making it do is somethig you yourself can actually do without the macro

Short version disability gamer using macros OK. Cheating macros that cause community and player base problems BAD.
