There are AFK Fireteam finder posts. they do not invite you and the same post is up last night is still active next day. i do not know the exact reason it might be the person who make the post forgot to close or it could be the person just pranking people and keep re-posting the same post.

Over 90% of GM lfg posts don't invite. Why even make one?

Or you get ghosted on the post, and a minute later you get a DM from a paid carry service.

Yeah there should be like a time limit of like 10 minutes a post stays up. No post needs more than like 10 minutes, maybe if it’s for an activity that’s not run as much. It took bungie like a month and a half to remove this one guys post for 6v6 quick play who’s post was up the whole time in LFG.

Sometimes a team will start a raid with 6 on fireteam finder, and once someone leaves partway through, they go to get a 6th off their friends list or clan. If someone joins the newly empty spot in the post while the team is adding another person on the friends list, the team will have a 6th person in the finder who is unable to join. Then, once that person leaves the post, it stays at 5/6 even though the team has 6 with the invited friend. Then, the post stays up for people to join pointlessly until the host manually closes it.

I’ve seen a small handful of posts left up but it’s hardly an overwhelming occurrence, like if 100 posts get put up in n hour for a given activity and there is 1 persistent post that got left up, then it’s 1% which probably is a high ball tbh. What is more likely is people getting into the lfg and instead of “summoning” they invite people in the lobby once accepted, then if someone dips you don’t have to repost, simple kick from queue after they leave and find a new person, or perhaps they completed the activity and then they leave the ftf lobby which puts it back up. “Shrug” I just know I’ve used it quite a bit and don’t see really any of the issues other people are bringing up. Pretty much every lfg ive gotten into has finished that activity at that.

Edited by SavvyMon: 7/7/2024 6:45:31 AMAnd it’s crazy that posts on the legacy version for the app will say fireteam expired after about 45 minutes if no one new has joined. All they had to do was properly integrate the app’s version into the game with minimal changes. That’s it. Instead we’re year in with this half baked pile of 💩.

Yup vote so they might actually fix it 🤞

These do suck a lot. There definitely needs to be a no activity time limit
