The Echo Spot has been around for a while and this smart alarm clock from Amazon is now on sale for nearly half of its regular price. This is the latest model, which Amazon released this year, and it would normally cost you $80. However, Prime Day is just around the corner, and Amazon is getting an early start by slashing the price of this smart alarm clock by 44%. That dumps the price from $80 to $45.

The one big caveat here is that you need to be an Amazon Prime member to get this discount. If you don’t already have a Prime membership, you should consider signing up. Not only will you want to be a member for the upcoming Prime Day sale, but you’ll save more money on a lot of stuff you buy on Amazon throughout the rest of the year. Not to mention it also earns you access to Prime Video, and Prime Gaming perks.

As for this new Echo Spot, its main purpose is to be your alarm clock. But this is an Echo device, so of course it also comes with Alexa built-in. The integrated speaker lets you ask Alexa to do all kinds of things from setting alarms to asking what the current weather conditions are.

You can also use the speaker for playing music or podcasts if you like. And like other Alexa devices, you can use the Echo Spot to control additional smart devices you may have set up around the home. Plus, this little alarm clock comes in three colors so you can personalize the look. And, all three colors (black, glacier white, and ocean blue) are all on sale for the $45 price.
