Luis Majano is a Computer Engineer that has been developing and designing software systems since the year 2000. He was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, in the late ’70s, during economic instability and a 13-year civil war. He lived in El Salvador until 1995 and then moved to Miami, Florida, where he completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at Florida International University.

He is the founder and CEO of Ortus Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in web development, ColdFusion (CFML), Java, and all open-source professional services under the ColdBox HMVC, CommandBox CLI, and ContentBox CMS stack. He is the creator of the ColdBox HMVC Framework, ContentBox Modular CMS, WireBox Dependency Injection, TestBox BDD (Behavior Driven Development), LogBox, and anything “BOX” and contributes to over 250 open-source projects.
