Product Description

In Fallout: wasteland warfare, players build their own crew from a wide range of factions, allies, and iconic characters from the Fallout series, then play in apocalyptic games of 3-30 high-quality 32mm scale resin miniatures through a huge variety of iconic scenery and settlement buildings, from the red rocket to sanctuary hills, Coca-Cola vending machines and wrecked vehicles. Settlements include buildings, defenses, and resources that impact the crew's army list and abilities in the wasteland. Fallout: wasteland warfare includes an entire narrative campaign arc as well as unique random missions with narrative-style objectives, and crew caps recovered in missions can be used to improve The crew's Perks, weapons, gear, and upgrades for the next encounter. In either player vs. Player or Tournament mode, players try to survive the tabletop wasteland. The Game also comes with a customizable solo-play ai deck to control enemies that play to their strengths and replicate a faction's tactics while attempting a narrative mission or perfecting settlement-building strategy. Players can also team up with a friend to defend a larger settlement or explore narrative missions in cooperative games against ai forces or the post-apocalyptic dangers of the wasteland. The Fallout: wasteland warfare two player starter set contains 32mm scale high-quality hardened PVC miniatures with scenic bases. Miniatures are fully assembled. You can upgrade this with the resin miniatures upgrade kit to get all the miniatures in multi-part high-quality resin.

My favorite miniature game at the moment
I have played a lot of miniature games and this is my favorite at the moment. You can play solo, cooperative or player vs player. Now with the pandemic, solo gaming has become a must in wargaming.Fallout Wasteland Warfare is great recreating the environment of the video games in the tabletop. It has different factions you can use alone or combined with others. The more factions and miniatures you have the better the game becomes. I recommend you get this starter box because it contains the Zetan alien, the Campaign book and the proprietary dice set. It comes with all needed to play, with the exception of terrain. If you have a 3d printer you can buy stl files directly from Modiphius or google for some. Print them to make the table look better and recreate the environment of the video games. In case you dont have a 3d printer, get the pre-painted Battle System or Blacksite Studios terrain. You can also make your own terrain and show your artistic knowledge. The only downside of the game is the huge amount of cards you will amass when you get new miniatures and expansions. You will need to buy A.I. cards and other sets of cards separately if you want to play solo or expand the items, perks and more. After Wave 2 release, no cards are included in the boxes. Because the more cards you have for this game, it represents more fun for the player. You have the option to pay for the app digital cards. The digital cards costs the same as the printed cards. Catch 21.In conclusion, this is not the typical army game like 40k. It has some elements of Infinty, but applied differently. This game is unique with its own style and fun. Enjoy it!

What a great game. We've been having a blast with it since it arrived. Pros and Cons incoming.
If you like the fallout universe, or skirmish style miniature wargaming, this game is for you. If you're familiar with skirmish wargaming, go ahead and spring for the resin miniatures starter though, it'll end up saving you a little money in he long run. All of the expansion kits are resin, the included PVC models in the starter set suffer from classic GW inbred mumbley face, and lack a little definition.
If you're new skirmish wargaming, this set includes everything you need to get you started; you'll find yourself waiting for expansions like we are though.
The mechanics are simple enough to learn : match symbols and numbers, flight path style measuring sticks, easy to follow quick start rules. This system is more along the lines of Mantic's new vanguard skirmish game and not along the lines of mordheim rules. It's quick, streamlined, and learning a few symbols is alot faster than trying to memorize charts.
    some criticisms :
some of the starter sets included an alien miniature that isn't used in the quickstart rules, I would have much rather had another survivor model.
There isn't any terrain included. 2d terrain is cheap and easy to find, in a big box starter of at this price range though, I would have expected some cardstock buildings or small PVC terrain pieces
I would have rather seen the game released only in the resin variant. I understand why they chose a cheaper price point option; with an inferior material miniature that's designed as a stepping stone to people familiar with fallout but not skirmish wargaming, I think this was the wrong decision though. It's more confusing to new people and really downplays the quality of the sculpts.

    In summary :
Great fun, Great IP, Great game. Pick it up, and give it a try. We like it way better than any of Games Workshops recent skirmish style games.

I became interested in the game after hearing that there were rules for playing solo that actually felt like playing a live game. It is currently very focused on the Commonwealth Wasteland, but I have heard rumors that there will be a New Vegas implementation as well. I'm really looking forward to that. After messing around with I have dived in fully and at this point I believe I own all but 3 of the miniature on of which has been out of stock everytime I looked.

The only reason I I didn't give it full marks on the easy to learn is it uses multiple custom dice and getting the hang how they are used and which are better in what situation can be a little confusing.

Modiphious has put all of the cards and the main rulebook onto their website to be able to print and play.

Now if you are a absolute beginner in table top miniature wargaming you may want to do a bit more research on the scenery that will make up the board as well as being aware that the miniatures come unpainted. Mopdiphious has a very friendly community forum and I believe their face book page also is helpful on that.

To expand initially on the factions included in the starter I would recommend the Survivor Core box and one of the smaller expansion boxes. For the Super Mutants I would go with the Hammer box, and the new Super Mutant Skirmishers. Between what is in the core box and those that should give you some good options for starting games.

I am obsessed, if you're looking for a fun new tabletop game, this is it, its a bit to learn at first, easier if you're familiar with tabletops in general but a really fun game none the less, a must have for fallout fans, it comes with two hefty books and a ton of models and supplies, the paper mats that come with it are eh but honestly when you jump in you'll end up wanting the red rocket set which gives you the nicer studier playmat anyways, or you'll build an actual table so they are pretty low on the list, the models are decent, the resin version has better ones ive read but these were fine, think like warhammer 40k detailing from like '09ish, no problems painting them, yoi get alot for your money its worth jumping in!
