Excellent book with a small, irritating flaw
I would like to start this review by saying this book is amazing. I'm following it through different dungeons and boss fights and it really does guide the way for you. What an undertaking this must have been. Not to mention the quality of the pages and the bindings. It even comes with a little tassel bookmark. Beautiful.I've seen people saying that it's hard to read or that it's too big, this was not my experience. I also saw somebody say that there isn't enough lore or you have to flip to different pages to find information, well yeah, the game is massive. The book tells you where to go for every bit of information you need. You can't fit all the information on one page with how many items, sites of grace, enemies, etc etc are in each area. This is why they teach you how to research things in school. They should also look at the descriptions for the books. It says very clearly in there what each book is for. Nobody forced anyone to buy a book that you knew was going to be this big, and spread out over 2 volumes.The only reason for my star rating is below.I came to a very early NPC, and in the map it told me to go to page 374, The quest line for White Mask Verrè. If you know anything about this game, you know that his quest line can be quite important. So I flip to 374, or what I was hoping was going to be 374, and to my surprise the page does not exist in my guide. This was when I noticed that pages 353 to 360 were duplicated, and 361 to 376 were missing. I understand with a book of this magnitude mistakes are easily made. What I don't understand is how this made it out of press like this. I also wonder how many more books have this.I did try contacting the publisher, but of course they have not got back to me, which I expected. I wish there was a way to remedy this without having to buy a whole nother book, but I don't think there is.Hopefully there aren't too many other people out there that have this issue. It was quite the bummer when I realized it happened. That was a quest line that I really wanted to follow closely.

I am a huge fan of the game first and foremost. People who are familiar with the Dark Souls games as well as Elden Ring will probably agree that the lore in these games is very interesting. I purchased both of these books for Elden Ring. They fill in all the lore gaps and answer all the questions I didn't find out playing the game. High quality hard cover book with glossy thick pages. I highly recommend this serious of books for anyone wanting the whole Elden Ring world given to them in great writing and vivid illustrations.

Yeah, you could use websites for a lot of this info. But what are you, some filthy plebeian gamer? Truly maidenless behavior. Those sites are infested with ads and bad formatting anyway. You're better than that. This book is official stuff, truly a work of art and labor of love. It won't answer every single specific question you may have (what a foolish presumption), but it gives you the info you need to navigate this huge game. Don't give clicks to those foul gaming journos, desperately clinging onto their jobs by writing mediocre guides online. Return to physical, embrace the old ways.
