This is a very easy review to write. I've used numerous gaming headsets over the years, including the Audeze Penrose X, Astro A50 & B&O Portal in more recent times. The Nova Pro Wireless blows them all out of the water. With every headset I've owned there has always been drawbacks, but honestly I cannot find a single fault with this headset. Steelseries has been overdue an upgrade to their Arctis line-up & I suspect this particular headset has been years in the making.
Starting with the design aesthetic of the headset itself, it's very reminiscent of the B&O Portal (I believe it's the same designer) only they have improved upon it. The headband design associated with Steelseries has been significantly improved & is now perfect. The headset is extremely comfortable: lightweight, plush ear cups & top notch build quality. There really is nothing to fault. The base station is also top quality too. Note if you play on multiple consoles, buy the Xbox version since it also works on PS5, Switch & PC.
Onto the sound, my god it's incredible. Crystal clear with zero distortion, bass that is impactful, right out of the box the audio is amazing. The default flat EQ is great, but you can customise via the base station. Spatial audio is extremely impressive. I'm using Dolby Atmos with my Xbox & audio is so well defined. Extremely immersive.
I could go on & on about how great this headset but to summarise, this headset is the new benchmark for gaming headsets. I really don't see how it can be beat. Everything about the Arctis Pro Wireless which came before it has been improved upon drastically. In Bluetooth mode (paired with a phone) the audio is equally impressive & can be used for everyday use. If you are serious into gaming & want a headset which is versatile, look no further.
Hats off to Steelseries, the wait has been worth it. Finally I have the flawless gaming headset I have long since wanted. The manufacturer has left no stone unturned. These gaming headset companies (including Steelseries) have a habit of rehashing the same headset with a few new features to call it new. In this instance it appears Steelseries has almost gone back to the drawing board. I can see the feedback to this headset being unanimous & the review I've just wrote being typical of the reception. Honestly, it doesn't get any better than this headset. £330 isn't cheap, but they're worth every penny in my view.

Partendo dal packaging si nota subito che queste cuffie tendono ad offrire il top, già da come vengono presentate. All'interno della scatola troverete tutti i cavi necessari per far funzionare le cuffie compreso il jack da 3,5 pollici. Inoltre viene fornita una comoda borisna mobida, per portare in giro le cuffie o per riporle dopo averle utilizzate oltre che ovviamente l'hub per connettere le cuffie alle varie piattaforme, e una batteria di riserva che non vi lascerà mai con headset scarico.
Parlando del design delle cuffie, si nota subito che il materiale di costruzione, è un materiale premium e, oltre che bello, sono pure comode! Le ho provate in lunghe sessioni, e vi posso garantire che non ho mai avvertito fastidio di sorta, né con l'archetto, ne tantomeno con il peso ( che tutto sommato, sono anche discretamente leggere )
Passando al lato della connettività, non mi è mai capitato una disconnessione, né su xbox, né tantomeno su playstation 5, su PC le ho testate ben poco, ma suppongo che il risultato sia il medesimo.
Comodissima la batteria rimovibile innestata in uno dei due padiglioni, l'autonomia è veramente elevata, circa 30 ore, e una volta esaurita la carica, potrete usare la batteria secondaria, che si ricarica inserendola nell'hub delle cuffie e praticamente non avrete mai il problema di cuffie scariche!
Altra cosa che apprezzo, il fatto che si possano cambiare i padiglioni, questo permette, in caso di usura, di sostituirli e dare nuova linfa vitale alle vostre cuffie ( in ogni caso io è da agosto che le uso, e per ora non ho segni di usura )
Parlando dell'audio, supporta veramente di tutto, dal DTS, al Dolby per passare anche all'audio 3D di Sony ( che è una delizia da ascoltare con queste cuffie ). Il suono è cristallino, i bassi sono belli potenti, ma non distruttivi e lasciano ascoltare tutte le fonti audio.
Sia i padiglioni, che il microfono retraibile, sono veramente da top di gamma, ed hanno dei piccoli microfoni dedicati per la cancellazione del rumore, che fanno un lavoro poderoso. Per farvi sentire in chat, dovrete tenere il microfono molto vicino alla bocca, ma vi posso garantire, che non è un difetto, anzi, essendo retraibile e anche molto comodo da sistemare come meglio si vuole!
Connettività bluethooth veramente eccellente, anche in questo caso, impeccabile. Mai avuto problemi di disconnessione, ed uso uno smartphone di fascia media, uno xiaomi MI10T che ha i suoi anni alle spalle.
Infine vi è la possibilità di connettere le cuffie con il jack da 3.5, ma in questo caso, mi sembra che si debba rinunciare a qualcosa in termini di audio lato pc. Vado a memoria, mi pare che non sia supportato un audio 3D da app su pc, se decidete di attaccare il jack, ma vi invito ad informarvi dato che come dicevo, le ho usate ben poco su pc.
I pulsanti per alzare ed abbassare il volume, come vedete in foto, sono posti nella parte posteriore, e vi posso assicurare, che una volta che ci avrete fatto l'abitudine sull'ubicazione dei tasti, alzare ed abbassare il volume, sarà una bazzecola. Segnalo la comodossima " rotella " per alzare ed abbassare il volume, che, su xbox, se premuta, vi permetterà di switchare sul mixer audio di gioco/chat, così da regolare la voce dei vostri amici, o il volume di gioco senza dover ricorrere alle app di xbox. Dovrei provare anche su ps5 ma non credo sia possibile utilizzare questa funzione.
In conclusione, è un headset STELLARE, difficile tornare indietro una volta provato. Vale la spesa? beh, vista la connettività multipiattaforma, e la qualità complessiva, direi di si assolutamente. Ovviamente il prezzo è alto, ma vi posso garantire, che godrete come ricci, una volta provate le cuffie.
Chiudo dicendo che il software del pc è stabile, e permette di configurare vari preset audio, o addirittura personalizzare completamente i suoni delle cuffie, se avete voglia di smanettarci sopra ( io purtroppo ho dei limiti, e mi sono accontentato dei set offerti, ma le possibilità sono infinite )
Se devo trovare un difetto, vi informo che se attaccate l'hub alla xbox, quest'ultimo rimarrà sempre acceso, ma in questo caso non è colpa interamente dell'hw delle cuffie, ma di xbox, che non spenge mai le sue porte USB e di conseguenza, continua ad alimentare anche l'hub. Io semplicemente stacco il cavetto quando non le uso su consolle Microsoft. Si tratta comunque di una inerzia, che non va a intaccare il valore di queste cuffie da sogno!
