Good keystroke feel and has useful function keys
The keyboard's tactile response is superb, providing a satisfying clicky feel with every keystroke that has made my gaming experience even more enjoyable. The G213's dedicated media controls are an excellent addition, making it easy to control music and videos while gaming. The game mode feature is also helpful as it disables certain keys to prevent accidental interruptions during gameplay. The customizable RGB lighting is a great feature that allowed me to personalize the keyboard to match my gaming setup, adding a touch of flair and making it even more visually appealing. But after a few months, The "F" key became less sensitive. Has to press harder to get it work. Otherwise, it is a perfect keyboard to me.

When shopping, I had two options; a membrane keyboard or a mechanical keyboard. The only requirements were that it had RGB lighting and a number pad. I decided to go with this keyboard as it was reasonably priced compared to mechanical keyboards that also met the criteria.

I love the keyboard. It is much quieter than my older Dell keyboard, which sounded like the stereotypical click-clack keyboard of days gone by. It hasn't failed to recognise a keystroke and it doesn't have a problem keeping up when I'm typing a lot of text. The media controls are useful; it's easy to hit the mute button if needed and the play, stop and seek buttons work with everything I've tried.

The LEDs are fairly bright, but not as bright as my partner's Corsair keyboard. There are five LED zones, so the transition between colours is a bit more noticeable than a keyboard with individually addressable LEDs. The software is easy to use. There are a multitude of different lighting effects, such as solid colour, flashing, fading etc, and it can also sample your monitor and attempt to match the colour. This a nice little feature which creates an Ambilight-esque appearance.

It feels solidly built. The keyboard is fairly heavy for its size, which suggests that durable materials are used. I have noticed a bit of wear on the space bar already, though I tend to tap it with my nail so I can't really fault the manufacturer for that.

In conclusion, if you want a reasonably priced RGB keyboard and don't care if it's not mechanical, buy it. If you're wanting something with individually addressable LEDs and mechanical switches, I'd look at Corsair keyboards.

The G213 is an amazing RGB keyboard to consider buying if you're on a budget or looking to upgrade over a cheaper previous keyboard. Yes it's a membrane keyboard and not mechanical but at the end of the day keyboard switches are personal preference and having owned both membrane and razer mechanical kb's In the past I would choose the G213 over a cheap mechanical keyboard any day as when gaming the switches makes no difference what so ever but if you were typing a lot then maybe consider a mech keyboard. The membrane keys are nice and clicky and have a tactile feel with good feeback and dont feel cheap at all but if you're mechanical switch enthusiast then this isn't for you. What you get with the G213 this keyboard is worth the money, you'll always here people saying "but you can buy a mechanical kb cheaper than this" but they are always cheap Chinese brands and I'd rather pay more towards a more premium feeling product from a trusted brand even if it isn't "better" than the cheaper product but that's just me. The 16.8m colour RGB looks amazing and bright and isn't blinding like some kb lighting out there and the logitech software used to control the kb lighting is so simple and easy to use and it let's you control various lighting effects from having one static colour, individual lighting zones, the popular rainbow wave effect to other effects available. I also have the G203 Prodigy mouse and it's really cool to have the RGB lighting from the G203 and the G213 sync up together in the logitech gaming software. If you use macros when gaming this kb let's you program them to different keys as it doesn't have dedicated macro keys but I've never used macro buttons so this didn't bother me. The built in wrist support is really useful and comfortable to use for long gaming/typing sessions but its built into keyboard and can't be removed so consider that if you don't like wrist supports. In conclusion it is an amazing keyboard for the price with RGB control, the body is sleek and has a matte black finish which looks really nice and not over the top like some keyboards on the market. The G213 is definitely worth getting if you're on a budget or want an upgrade from a cheaper keyboard.

Thought it just a malfunction on the first one, but when the second one kept doing it too I suspected it's a design flaw somehow.
Otherwise a good keyboard, especially if you can get it for £40 like I did.

    Pattern Name: Keyboard G213Verified Purchase
I've never been able to enjoy mechanical keyboards, but in the gaming world they are the fashion these days, so it's becoming harder to find good non-mechanical keyboards like the G213.

    Pros:
    - Very sturdy build.
    - Key shapes exactly how I like them; long backspace, long right shift, nice chunky L-shaped return.
    - Worked as soon as I plugged it in (Windows 10).
    - G HUB software easy to download and install, providing lots of options for backlighting and custom shortcuts.
    - Decent set of media keys; play/pause, stop, forward, back, volume, mute.
    - Dedicated gaming key to disable Windows keys when gaming. You can also set additional keys in the G HUB software.
    - Nice long braided cable.

    Cons:
    - Caps/num/scroll lock indicators could be more clearly labelled. Black text on a black background...
    - No function keys other than the dedicated media keys.
    - For a non-mechanical keyboard, it's really loud. The noise (particularly from the space bar) is a satisfying clunk, but it's loud enough to upset friends on voice chat.
    - A bit of a fingerprint magnet. After only a couple of days the key surfaces and wrist rest are quite oily.
    - Wrist rest not removable or adjustable.
    - Backlight coverage on individual keys is a bit patchy. Some keys definitely have brighter spots and darker spots. Not enough to make key identification difficult, but a little annoying.

Overall, this is a fantastic keyboard for those of us who haven't bought into the mechanical keyboard hype, and for the price I don't think you could ask for much more. The only cons I could find are fairly minor inconveniences for the most part; this keyboard gets all the important stuff right, and it certainly feels sturdy enough to be in use for a long time to come.
