    Hi,

The new wordpress 5.9 update has broken the plugin and we can’t choose colors in the editor. Also, if we uninstall the plugin the existing posts with custom colors are not working they turn dark gray – Please help either update to make it compatible or share how can we safely remove it without breaking the website.

  • Facing the same issue. All colors are gone from pallets as well as from the posts where we applied them.

I hope the author fixes it otherwise it is going to be very tough to edit all the posts and remove the colors manually.

Yep, this should be fixed. Hope dev takes a look at it! 🙂

Still no fix for this – does anyone know of any similar plugin to create custom colour pallets for 5.9+?

    Hello there.

We’re glad to inform you about the release of the new version of the plugin where we improved the compatibility with WordPress 5.9 and resolved the issue with picking up colors in the editor. Feel free to update the plugin and let us know if you have any questions.

Yea, no. All the latest PHP and WordPress here. Still not showing on my sites. Thanks for your efforts and plugin dev.

    Hello guys!

We are delighted to inform you that we’ve released the Block Editor Colors plugin version 1.2.4 where we improved the compatibility with the Gutenberg plugin so now everything seems to be working perfectly well. Make sure to update the plugin and feel free to let us know in case there is something we can help you with.

I have 1.2.4 installed and I’m still not seeing the custom colors that were set within the plugin.

    Hello @memartinez.

In this case, I may only suggest you try disabling the third-party plugins that you have since locally everything seems to be working well. Also, I would like to inform you that we’ve found a compatibility issue with the Gutenberg plugin so if you have it installed and activated, try disabling it.

    sorry for the continuous corrections.
the problem remains with the plugin
    PublishPress Blocks (https://it.wordpress.org/plugins/advanced-gutenberg/)

But I found that there are 2 settings that alter the color plugin.

in the settings of the aforementioned plugin

“Enable access to blocks” if enabled, the custom colors are not seen, if not enabled, ONLY the customized colors and not the standard WP ones are seen.

But be careful, if we also disable the “Enable custom styles” option and then we have:

    “Enable access to blocks” disabled
    “Enable Custom Styles” disabled

Then the color plugin works correctly, with both color sets.

And when I installed the 2 plugins, colors and the offending one worked quietly, but I hadn’t seen that by default these options were all disabled …. it took me a while.

    Hello @yukiko-kawa!

I would like to inform you that I wasn’t able to reproduce the issue locally. No matter if I enable or disable this third-party plugin options like “Enable block access” and “Enable custom styles”, I still see both the default colors and custom colors from our plugin when I edit some background. So there must be something else that causes such an issue or there’s another option that needs to be enabled to be able to face it. Will it be possible for you to provide me with a step-by-step guide on how to replicate the issue on my side? Thank you.

I swear to you that 2 days ago, on a clean site, the problem arose with those 2 options.

now the bug does not reappear.
I also talked to the developers of the other plugin, and they too can’t reproduce the problem.

I’m sorry I can’t find the problem on other sites.
Only on the one in production.
even by putting the identical settings back.

    Hello @yukiko-kawa!

No problem. There must be another reason for such an issue that you have, but I’m afraid we won’t be able to help you in this particular case, unfortunately.
