So the problem I have is that my Woocommerce Reports show the correct data (84 orders, 119 products purchased, 14000eur revenue) but when I go to Woocommerce Analytics I see insane numbers (600 orders, 900 products purchased, 98000eur revenue). Shows orders on the dates that had 0 orders.

Tried to clear cache on Woocommerce Status > Tools – did not help
Cleared Transients as well.
Reimported historical data and deleted it then, nothing happens.

Found in DB I found “transient_wc_report” with some of the insane numbers, removed everything with “transient_wc_report” did not help either, it keeps “recreating” transients to the DB.

How is possible to fix this? To completely remove analytics data and reimport historical data ?

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are seeing discrepancies in Analytics, and have tried a few troubleshooting steps to no avail, is this correct?

I see that you have already tried clearing analytical cache and importing historical data, however, can you please do the following, in this exact order, and see if this resolves the issue:

Navigate to Analytics → Settings, scroll down to Date type , and select Date Created on the dropdown:

Navigate to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and click on Clear Analytics Cache
Import Historical Data

If this makes no difference, please can you share the following:

System Status Report: navigate to WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support.
Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

Once you have these, please share them in your response here.

but when I go to Woocommerce Analytics I see insane numbers (600 orders, 900 products purchased, 98000eur revenue). Shows orders on the dates that had 0 orders.

Have you clicked on any of these orders in the analytics tab?

On another note, I couldn’t help but notice that your site has many failed scheduled actions. It’s probable that these are happening because your server’s PHP time limit is set a bit low. Try setting the limit somewhere between 900 and 1000.

Just to clarify, the PHP Time Limit is the maximum amount of time that PHP scripts are allowed to run. If any script runs longer than the set time, PHP will stop it and flag an error. You can adjust this by tweaking the max_execution_time in your PHP configuration file. Your hosting provider should be able to help you with this.

Yes I did and I see nothing on the Order page, just says 0. And that is correct because it should not exist 🙂

Increased it, but that should not affect wrong data.

Is there a way to clear everything from Analytics and “import” the data again? Because this is totally wrong.

It shouldn’t, but since Analytics uses the action scheduler to sync data, increasing the PHP time limit will eliminate the possibility of the problem originating from a faulty sync.

You can try deleting previously imported data from Analytics → Settings and import them again:

If that doesn’t help, then please try disabling all plugins except WooCommerce. Make sure to switch to the default Storefront theme as well.

If the problem is not present after doing so, then you know there was a plugin conflict. You can enable plugins one by one again to find the culprit.

Update – This is a huge bug in the system.

It happens when you delete orders – so deleted orders are still visible in the analytics even if they do not exist anywhere on the website.

To test that quickly I cloned my DB and then used this SQL to remove all order data:

DELETE FROM wp_woocommerce_order_itemmeta;
DELETE FROM wp_woocommerce_order_items;
DELETE FROM wp_comments WHERE comment_type = 'order_note';
DELETE FROM wp_postmeta WHERE post_id IN ( SELECT ID FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = 'shop_order' );
DELETE FROM wp_posts WHERE post_type = 'shop_order';

And guess what? Analytics still there. Followed all the steps that were mentioned, but Analytics data is still there from the deleted orders.

I understand that you deleted order data, however Analytics is still showing the incorrect stats.

This sounds like a persistent cache issue on your site. I’d recommend to clear and disable cache from any plugin on your site and the server. I see a drop-in cache plugin that seems to come from the server here:

So even if I remove all the data by using SQL codes I sent you, analytics data is still there and I have no idea how?

When you delete order from backend panel, what tables it affect, because obviously something is missing here:

Thanks so much for letting us know that the issue persists. I would like to step back just for a bit for the sake of clarity.

Would you be so kind as to share two screenshots, one from the WooCommerce Reports and another one from the Analytics section, where we can see the report’s discrepancy?

On a side note, it also seems that your site is having an Action Scheduler issue since it has over 6,061 actions which could be contributing to this issue. So, could you please install WP-Crontrol plugin and share a screenshot of the error you get when navigating to the WP-Crontrol tab from your WP Dashboard?

So to summarize removing order from the backend removes analytics while quick SQL actions do not remove it (mentioned earlier in the ticket), can you check why is that happening and tell me where analytics are stored in the database and what I should do to remove them from SQL so I can totally wipe out that info?

Hi there,

Before doing anything database related, I’d highly suggest backing up your site and database. You can also clone your site into a staging version to run this test

Can you please try emptying the following lookup tables?

wc_category_lookup
wc_customer_lookup
wc_order_coupon_lookup
wc_order_product_lookup
wc_order_tax_lookup

Are you comfortable dropping or emptying those database tables on your site? Most hosts offer a tool called phpMyAdmin that lets you manage your database. If you’d rather not do this yourself I’d reach out to your host and ask if they can do this for you.

I hope this helps so far, let us know how if this does the trick.

Yes, I do make backups always.
Unfortunately, this did not fix it – still Analytics show wrong values, while Reports are correct as explained multiple times in this thread.

As a next step, can you plese try clearing wc_reports transients in the Options table?

You can can do a wildcard search transient_wc_report

After this, navigate to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and click on Clear Analytics Cache
