    Hi i’m using your plugin on a project now. Empty alt field show a yellow triangle. when i add “” to the alt field, there’s no warning anymore.

    So now i’m wondering what is the best use? Leave empty or type “” if the image is decorative.

    Hi Sandra,
    Yes, I see that too.
    With just alt="" it shows a yellow mark with “Text is decorative”. When the alt attribute isn’t even in the image element it shows a red warning that there is no alt tag.
    I assume it has to do with the red mark being an error in the source code which the programmer should update, while the yellow mark is about missing content which the editor can update.

    There is no test about what content is or should be in the alt attribute. If there is no content or only dummy content there, it doesn’t help disabled people or search engines.
