I had to downgrade WordPress from 5.5 to 5.4.2 due to comment mycred hook stopped working for us.

After downgrade (and before upgrade to WordPress 5.5 everything was working OK).

I’ve noticed when I’ve downgraded and wanted to add points to members who commented after upgrade this function was still unavailable till I’ve updated database and set comment_type to empty string – than I’ve set comments to unapproved in database and approved them in UI – points were added to users accounts.

I have not found any changelog of WordPress 5.5 – there is definitely database upgrade – I don’t know if this is the case.

Does someone else have same issue?

am having this issue also… every point stop working deducting from custom point type tooo!

Hi @davidstrejc @omo9jatoja,

If you are using the WordPress version 5.5 please use the beta plugin version 1.8.14 shared below which includes the following fixes mentioned below also please make sure to install this plugin without deleting the previous version it will overwrite your previous plugin and you won’t lose any of your data.

FIX – Comments hooks not working
FIX – Warnings in myCred Sell Content
FIX – Ranks recalculate totals not working

Note: Please use this plugin if you are on the WordPress version 5.5 also please don’t delete the previous version of myCred before installing the beta version 1.8.14

uploaded now kinda working, but as the post author I don’t earn viewing any posts created by me but I earn viewing other authors!

Hi @omo9jatoja,

By default Content Author will not get any points on viewing his own Content.
