• I’ve only jetpack a couple of times, usually to add some extra features to sites. In all cases I had mysterious issues with JS clashing with other plugins and generally slowed everything down.

I feel like we should be past plugins that offer a million services which are rarely all used.

I’m adding a review now as recently I’ve noticed the WooCommerce Services from Jetpack has crept causing shop owners to think they have to add Jetpack. I hate this kind of sneaky installation. If things continue in a years time they’ll have a “uncheck box if you don’t want jackpack”….not cool..

  • Hi @abiruth1980,

I recommend only activating Jetpack modules you want to use. Any deactivated modules shouldn’t be using resources and therefore shouldn’t slow the site down.

Most of Jetpack’s features are designed to speed your site up and take load off the server (Site Accelerator is a good example) but if you have any concerns, you’re welcome to contact us through this form:

    https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support

We can then take a closer look at what could be slowing your site down.

Thanks for the reply. I’ll have a play around with a test site.

As I say main current frustration is needed to repeatedly explain to shop owners that Jetpack is not essential to Woocommerce.

You’re welcome, I just wanted to let you know the option of contacting us is there if you need it 🙂
