translation canonical and url

i have massive annoyance on one of our pages. we are translating with translatepress an d have custom post types in place.
german: messen
english: fairs
the problem is the canonical and the url where the slug is not translated. how to do this, tsf is not in the list of translatepress seo add-ons. .
any hint is very welcome
