In the past, I have used AMP, but didn’t really check the AMP output. Now (WP 5.5, AMP plugin v.2.0) I find that “tiled mosaic” galleries work just fine (AMP and non-AMP). However, there are instances where I want to use the “tiled columns” option. That works fine in non-AMP mode, but in the AMP output I get no gallery output at all (while tiled mosaics continue to display OK). Is there any trick that might help?

    Hi there!

I’m afraid that, while the styles for Circles and Square Tiles are compatible with AMP, the styles for Tiled Mosaic and Tiled Columns do not have the right spacing in the grid on the AMP page.
There’s nothing that can be done about this currently but you can follow the progress of the updates here:

Hi @fresatomica, thanks for your response.
Too bad! Interestingly, tiled mosaic galleries appear to display OK in AMP view — however, tiled mosaic galleries have no controls, and so often end up taking up a lot of space. With this, switching to tiled mosaic in places where I want to have, say, 5 – 7 images in a horizontal strip is not an option, Plus, circles and square tiles are not an option because a) my images are never square, and b) because of my carefully crafted image proportions / esthetics, square and circular crops will almost inevitably destroy either the esthetics, if not the essential content. An option in which the AMP view would force tiled column galleries into, say, tiled mosaic (which appears to work for me) might be acceptable, at least as a temporary solution.
Addendum: some user controls in tiled mosaic galleries would be really useful!

Thanks for your feedback. Our developers are still working to make all Jetpack elements compatible with AMP so, hopefully, it will not be an issue soon.
In the meantime, feel free to follow/comment on the GitHub issues for more information. Thanks!
