    Hi @jmci,

I sometimes have the same issue with Jetpack. But it generally solves itself after a couple of days.

    Hi Simon,

Generally, it means that when the Jetpack admins attempts to interface with your site via the WordPress’ built-in REST API system, the response back is not in the expected format.

This can be due to a variety of reasons — a PHP error/warning message unrelated to Jetpack is printed in the response, for example, or something causing a 404 page to respond instead of the expected JSON response.

The best way to determine what exactly is going on is to visit the admin page and open your browser’s developer console. There is a “network” tab that you can use to monitor requests from your browser. Then, perform the action you wanted to do. In the Network tab, a XHR request should be listed. You can click on that and see the response.

    Hi Brandon,
Ok, thank you for the details.

Closing this for now. Please let me know if it’s still unresolved
