Hey @stevenew2019 , seems like the Plugin team wants to review this plugin, amd most probably the plugin left unsupported by it’s devs (or they changed domain).
However nothing stops you from adding maps into your WordPress websites, straight from the plugin’s website at snazzymaps.com
However if you go to Plugin’s Dev’s profile here their domain doesn’t work anymore and its for sale atmist.com.

If you search a bit more at their blog: snazzymaps.com/press they still reference the name Atmist, but as I said, domain isn’t available…

Hopefully the web version at snazzymaps.com will continue to work. Let’s see!

Also forgot to mention, that the plugin, lives here
However, check it’s updates and if someone is maintain and update this plugin, to be sure the plugin will follow Security guidelines.

I had contacted the dev, Adam, and he told me, that wp.org has some issues with Snazzymaps or more likely with their communication.

He told me on Nov, 4th that wp.org already had greenlit the plugin but obviously that isn’t the case.

I tried to reachout again a few days ago, but to no avail so far.

Awesome @ralf-r , that’s good to hear, it is an awesome plugin and hopefully we will have it back again if all goes well!

    Hi all,

I did resolve the initial problem on November 4th and it was up for a couple days before being pulled for a security issue.

The security issue was that we weren’t using a nonce for all GET requests that performed actions. This could potentially allow a malicious actor to enable/disable/remove one of the styles saved in the Site Styles tab of the plugin (not the end of the world but we still should be following best practices).

I’ve just submitted an update to the plugin and I’m waiting to hear back from WordPress. The approvals can take a bit of back and forth and possibly up to a week but hopefully I hear back soon and the plugin can get back up.

As for the company Atmist no longer existing, it’s true we closed up shop recently. I (Adam) will be taking over the site and plugin and will be switching over everything soon enough.

Sorry for the delay but we should be back up shortly, thanks!

WordPress has accepted the changes and the plugin is back in the plugin directory. Sorry for the delay and thanks for your patience!

    Thanks 🙂
