Product Categories and Tags not Within Sitemap

    Hi, my product categories and tags aren’t showing in the sitemap. Could it be the permalink issue? I’m using a plugin to remove the base slug, so instead of .com/shop/cleanser, the url is .com/cleanser. Please take a look for me. Thanks!

    Hello!

    Categories and tags aren’t part of the optimized sitemap. This is intentional.

    Categories are found automatically via breadcrumbs. They don’t update in any meaningful way like products do. Individual products are added to the sitemap so they can be found regardless of internal linking.

    Still, if you toggle off the optimized sitemap at “SEO Settings > Sitemap Settings,” the sitemap will then include the categories and tags at the expense of plausible slower crawling and indexing.
