Not generating sitemap of certain years

    Hi,

    I’m using this plugin in my news website. It is generating sitemap year wise from 2017 but seems like this plugin is not generating sitemap for the year 2019,2020,2021. While clicking on these year’s sitemap it’s showing some error message like this

    his XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

    Hi, it might be that the server is running out of PHP memory for these sitemaps. This happens if there are too many posts in one year. Try the “Split by: Month” option on Settings > XML Sitemap > General in the Posts section.

    Ok, Thanks for the reply. I checked the Memory Limit is 128M.

    It will be wise for “increasing the Memory Limit” or “Splitting the sitemap by months” ?

    I’m Afraid, if the split will affect the website traffic.

    Sure you can try increasing the memory limit but be aware that even if the yearly sitemaps then work, they might load very slowly. This might have a negative impact… Maybe you have “expensive” options like “automatic priority calculation” and “update lastmod on comments” turned on? If so, try switching these off.

    But really, splitting by month should NOT affect traffic negatively, just make sure to submit the main index /sitemap.xml, not individual sitemaps. Monthly sitemaps load much faster too 🙂
