Hi @thetonto,
Braintree is supported for Australian merchants, so that shouldn’t be a problem:
https://www.braintreepayments.com/en-au/faq
However, the sign-up flow from WooCommerce only supports US merchants at the moment, so if you still need to sign up for Braintree, I recommend signing up from their website first.
Appreciate the response and concur that Braintree do provide an extensive FAQ about operations in Australia, however there is no workflow or application form available for production sign up. You can create a sandbox and fill in a form for the sales team to contact you. But the form goes does not work so there is no way to get a production account.
Hi @thetonto ,
I understand this was a not a good experience from Braintree.
If you’ve already sent a support request, I recommend waiting a couple of days and checking your spam folders in case their reply arrived there.
We’ve created the integration plugin for Braintree but we do not have access to the support platform for Braintree and can’t confirm if they aren’t accepting new merchants.
If you are interested in a PayPal solution with a card processing feature, I recommend checking PayPal Payments.
Thank you 🙂
