Images Permanently Deleted from Media Library, but they remain on the web server

    Hi,

    Images permanently deleted from the Media Library are removed from the Media Library in WordPress, but remain on the web server inside the folder: wp-content > uploads > folder.

    Why is this, how can I fix this and prevent this from happening in the future?

    Note: I’ve cleared the cache in the caching plugin as well as deactivated the caching plugin. But, the images remain on the server.

    The issue isn’t related to caching, as the images remain on the server. Check the upload folder’s file permissions to ensure WordPress has full deletion rights. If the issue persists, contact your web host for further assistance.
