Is it possible for subscribers to only get half of a new post by email, with a button that states “click here to read the rest of the post.” I don’t like that the entire post can be read in the email without ever clicking through to the blog. Thanks.

Hi, glutenfreedestinations, I believe you’re using Jetpack’s subscription widget for your sign up form.

Working on that basis, you are able to modify the content of the subscription emails and this link contains information from Jetpack detailing how to do that: https://jetpack.com/support/subscriptions/

Look for the question called “Can I customize the content of the subscription emails?” in the FAQ section.

Thanks, Ian. This is very helpful, and I just made the change to summary. Just to confirm, that only changes the way the posts appear in the subscriber emails, correct? It doesn’t change the actual blog itself?

Yep, this only changes the way that the posts will show up in the subscriber emails (and RSS feeds).
