• I truly love this plugin, which suits exactly what I need and is easy to work with. I wanted a plugin that shows a map which is not connected to Google Maps (I use OSM) and that’s what this plugin offers.
The only reason why I did not give 5 stars is, that the Ukrainian flag is forced to show up. Even though I can understand the background, I don’t want any political message or signal on my website.

I just installed the plugin today, and I see what you mean about the Ukranian flag. There is a solution to this, but I hesitate to recommend it because it removes the attribution altogether.

You can use the Appearance > Customize CSS capability within WordPress to hide the “.leaflet-control-attribution” element.

I wish the plugin author would have separated the flag from the subsequent attribution information so that only the flag could be hidden, and maybe there is a more restrictive element definition I could have used, but I didn’t want to spend any more time figuring it out.

I wanted to address the situation regarding the flag. First and foremost, I’d like to express solidarity with Ukraine.

Regarding the flag, in the latest releases, we updated the Leaflet API, and this change was implemented by the developer of the API.

Leaflet was created 11 years ago by Volodymyr Agafonkin, a Ukrainian citizen living in Kyiv.

Out of respect and solidarity with the author of the API and the millions of other users, we chose not to remove the icon. We understand your concerns, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out.
