    I needed to put a simple gallery of pictures on a website I manage as a volunteer for a charity. Modula did this perfectly and was very quick and easy to use.

    I’d like to upgrade but, as usual with WordPress plugins, the basic pro licence is too expensive. At about $40, it’s a good price for a WordPress plugin but the problem I am discovering is that on WordPress you seem to need a plugin for everything – even relatively simple stuff. As a result, you can end up with a website costing $1000 (including hosting) per year just like that. That’s okay for decent-sized companies maybe but is too much for us one-man-bands.

    When you can get some quite advanced apps on Apple and Android for just £1-99, it’s time WordPress prices dropped to a sensible level.

    @welburnvillagehall – thank you so much for taking the time to review Modula.

    Is it just me, or is the 4* review more related to how expensive WordPress plugins feel and not a reflection of how good Modula is?
