• Using the Elementor module, the Crimson Text font is no longer rendering on pages. It previously loaded fine until recently. We have updated a number of plugins including Elementor.

    Looking on Google Fonts repository, it doesn’t seem to be present? Closest is this – https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Crimson+Pro

    Is the issue that it no longer exists there? We have for example in code the below:

    .elementor-9 .elementor-element.elementor-element-136bae19 {
        font-family: "Crimson Text", Sans-serif;
    }

    Is there a way in your settings to change all instances of this font from Crimson Text to Crimson Pro? Find and replace in database perhaps?

  • Hi,

    I can see that the Crimson Text font was removed as part of Google Fonts.

    You can use the “Crimson Pro” or add the “Crimson Text” font as part of Custom Fonts under Elementor >> Custom Fonts. You have to have add all variants of the font (.ttf, .otf, woff, .woff2, .svg). To do that, you can download .ttf font here and then convert it to all other variants here.

    Then you need to go to Elementor Site Settings and from there setting that custom “Crimson Text” or Google “Crimson Pro” font as Global Font Primary/Secondary/Text/Accent fonts.

    We added the custom fonts following that link, and the issue is not resolved. Text still not displaying correctly. We added all variations which took ages, but still not changing in the front-end……

    The question in relation to changing from Crimson Text, to Crimson Pro, was specifically how this is done with your plugin please? Surely you can’t go through each page and edit all text individually? There must be an automated way to do?
