• I tried adding a code that (to rename default email sender name and address of the website) in wordpress theme editor and when I clicked save there was some error saying something about SFTP, but like a stoop I clicked on save again and my entire functions got cleared, everything was deleted, with all the codes I’ve invested in it the last year. Then I logged into cpanel fie manager and found it completely empty there as well. What can I do?

  • you don’t have backup? if you have backup, then can copy the functions.php files code and past into your theme functions.php file and save.

    thanks.

Ask your hosting provider if they have backup of your site from before the issue.

If they do, ask them to restore it.

Backup: In the future, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong. You can never have enough backups!
