• I’m just testing out the free version of Course Press for a client, so I don’t have a site to point to… but I’m wondering if it’s always the case that the student needs to register with the site before they can enroll/add the course to a shopping cart (using Market Place.)

If I’m logged in, the process works great, but if I’m not then the process seems to be that the new student registers with the site and then goes to the course to enroll/add-to-cart.

Is there any way to a) have the course open to enrollment by non-logged-in users, and b) have the student registered as part of the enrollment/purchase process?

    Thanks,
    Steve

I’m guessing, based on https://premium.wpmudev.org/forums/topic/coursepress-auto-register-user , that you need to enroll before buying a course — but I’d like some confirmation / feedback.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hey Steve,

    How are you doing today?

Plugin is designed in such a way that user is required to be registered on a site in order to enroll a course, reason for that is, regardless of course being a paid one or not, that for plugin student capabilities to be added to a specific user the same user has to be registered on a site, by doing this aside from that user being assigned to a course all the plugin features related to student such as assessment of their work etc are added to the same user.

    Hope this makes sense 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan

Bojan — thanks for the response. That’s what I figured, I just needed to confirm.
