• I am working on a website update on a subdomain ahead of promoting the site to my permanent URL. Part of the effort was setting up SEO by using Rank Math. I was not receiving errors when saving any updates until Rank Math was installed.

When I attempt to save i get the “Your Save Has Failed” message that I have seen in previous posts. I have done the following:

    1. I have reached out to my web hosting support (iPage) who stated: “The Error which is related to Rank Math SEO plug in is when the particular plugin is not compatible with using theme, the issue will arise and the plugin will cause the errors in website. Those plugin related issues can be checked form divi theme provider end. I have increased the PHP memory limit , now please try to migrate the subdomain to main website” and “Here they informed to increase the PHP setting as hosting provider end, I will do it now.” and “The critical errors are caused by the plugins only, the plugins errors can be checked form theme end they have logs of the plugin error on their end.”
    2. I have tried to conduct the troubleshooting where I’ve disabled each plugin (based on the steps Rank Math recommends) and when doing and an attempting to enable Rank Math I immediately get an error where I have to try and force enable Rank Math.

When looking at the site health deeper it tells me “

Themes add your site’s look and feel. It’s important to keep them up to date, to stay consistent with your brand and keep your site secure.

Your site has 4 installed themes, and they are all up to date.

Your site has 1 inactive theme. To enhance your site’s security, you should consider removing any themes you are not using. You should keep Twenty Twenty-Three, the default WordPress theme, Nox’s, your active theme, and Divi, its parent theme.”

In synopsis it looks as though there is an issue with Rank Math and my default WordPress theme “Twenty Twenty-Three”. The weird part is that it looks like any time I try to save any change within the Enable Visual Builder option in Divi it will throw up the error but if I disregard and exit it seemingly saves the change. I need any help here on how to overcome these issues. I am a complete novice here and just trying to help my sister-in-laws business. Any help will be great.

  • Is this related to the Go Theme? I am not sure I understand what is the link with Go here.

    Olivier,

I’ve engaged Elegant Themes (Divi) and they were able to look into the issue further. It looks like there seems to be an issue with the initial Rank Math setup where it asked if I have a Google Account (which I have set up with my main domain), then the fact that the site I am working on is on a subdomain.

They feel that when I migrate this site to the main domain this issue should go away and if it doesn’t they provided some suggested steps to solve it.

    Thanks for reaching out.
