I’m having a hard time understanding how your plugin works. For example: a customer abandons the cart but later completes the order. it seems that the abandoned cart report is not cancelled.. in this case I could confuse the customer if for example I send a discount coupon to end the order which in reality he has already placed previously… could you please provide info? Thank you

Hey @paolo1234, thank you very much for your question!

So CartBounty has a built in function that will and does validate each new order to look if the order can be associated with any of the abandoned carts. If CartBounty finds an abandoned cart with the same email and products in the order as in the abandoned cart, the shopping cart will either be marked as “Recovered” (in case if the user returned from abandoned cart recovery URL) or will be removed from the abandoned cart list.

However, if the user uses a different email address, or if the abandoned cart has just a phone number instead of email or cart contents are different – CartBounty will leave the shopping cart in the abandoned cart list.

Please let me know if this helps or you have additional questions.

    Best,
    Nauris

Hi, I have executed orders that have the same email as the abandoned cart… I don’t know… I also wanted to understand if it is possible to enter an expiry date for the coupon when generating instant coupons. Thank you

Hi @paolo1234, I’m afraid our free version does not provide coupon code generation, but our Pro version does include automated coupons and it is possible to set an expiration time. You can see in our Docs an image that displays available coupon generation settings: https://www.cartbounty.com/activecampaign-abandoned-cart-recovery/#enable-coupons

    Hi,

I mean, yes I know it doesn’t work with the free version, I was just asking for info on a possible purchase. I saw the functions in the link you sent, I still have a question: Once the expiration coupon has been created, if the user does not purchase within the expected timeframe I understand that the coupon will no longer be valid. I would like to know if your plugin still generates copun for this user. Consistency would require that for this user there are no longer discount coupons otherwise expiring coupons would make no sense. Thanks again

Yes, this is the case. Expired coupons do expire and expired coupons are not usable. WordPress has a strict policy of Pro plugin support in this forum – we are only allowed to support our Free plugin here.
If you still have additional questions about our Pro plugin, please reach us via this contact form: https://www.cartbounty.com/contact/

    Kind regards,
