On June 28, 2024, ICON's team in the Netherlands celebrated the 40-year anniversary of the establishment of the original local company, Pharma Bio Research. Over the last 40 years we have grown from a small research clinic conducting trials on healthy volunteers to a large organisation of 480 clinical staff conducting over 50 studies per year , with purpose-built clinics supporting complex clinical pharmacology trials on the Martini and UMCG academic hospital campuses, an integrated GMP manufacturing facility, and co-located bioanalytical and QC laboratories. Throughout this anniversary year, we will commemorate the progress made over the past decades, recognising our growth into one of the largest employers in Northern Netherlands, a market leader in the country, and a pioneer within the Life Science & Health sector. This impressive growth is owed to the dedication of all our employees, many of whom have a long history with the company. We look forward to continued success delivering innovative drug research and development.
