"From Trenches to Wrenches: The Roger Story" is the first episode of LEGO Star Wars: All-Stars. It was released on Disney XD on November 10, 2018. The episode is a collection of the eight short films "Lo, I am Manufactured," "It Gets Ugly," "The Good Stuff!," "The Prisoner of Tatooine," "The Droid Rescue Gambit," "Yub Nub!," "What Goes Up... and "The Power at Jakku." In the episode, the B1-series battle droid Roger narrates chapters from his autobiography From Trenches to Wrenches: The Roger Story.

Plot summary[]

"Lo, I am Manufactured"[]

Roger recounts the story of his construction and combat service during the Battle of Naboo and the Clone Wars to Han Solo and Chewbacca aboard the Millennium Falcon.

"It Gets Ugly"[]

Roger reads Chapter 18 of his autobiography to General Hera Syndulla and Lieutenant Valeria aboard the Home One. Roger accidentally crashes his master Pace Freemaker's Delta-7B Aethersprite-class light interceptor on the planet Dathomir. After escaping rancors, the two managed to escape on Pace's hastily-built Ugly. Pace is dismayed by the loss of his shop but is mollified when a woman buys the Ugly for 10,000 credits.

"The Good Stuff!"[]

Roger recounts Chapter 48 of his autobiography to R2-D2. In that story, Roger accidentally obtains a 30 weight oil canister containing stolen Imperial codes that K-2SO and Cassian Andor were meant to pick up for the Rebel Alliance. K-2S0 rescues Roger from Imperial stormtroopers. Later, Roger learns about the identity of his rebel rescuers from R2-D2.

"The Prisoner of Tatooine"[]

Roger reads Chapter 129 of his autobiography to Admiral Ackbar during a space battle. While the Freemakers were servicing Ben Quadinaros' podracer at Mos Espa on Tatooine, Roger is kidnapped by a clan of Jawas. Roger manages to escape their sandcrawler by stuffing the vehicle's engines with scrap metal. After landing in a village of Tusken Raiders, Roger escapes back to Mos Espa. Returning to the present, Ackbar borrows a left from Roger's story and thanks his crew.

"The Droid Rescue Gambit"[]

Roger chastises BB-8 for tossing out an old capacitator and uses Chapter 202 of his autobiography to illustrate his point. During the days of the Rebellion, Roger and Chopper embark on a mission to rescue several droids from being transported by the Empire to a meltdown facility. Roger and Chopper rescue the droids from the Gozanti-class cruiser, giving them a new lease of life. Returning to the present, Roger is forced to eat his words when the faulty capacitator explodes.

"Yub Nub!"[]

While "helping" Rose Tico to repair a hypershaft coil on an MG-100 StarFortress SF-17, Roger recounts the events of Chapter 299 of his autobiography as a lesson on persistence. Following the Battle of Endor, Roger befriends an Ewok child who insists on accompanying him and the Freemakers aboard the StarScavenger. After several attempts to return the Ewok to Bright Tree Village, Roger relents. In the present, the Ewok resurfaces at the Resistance base on D'Qar.

"What Goes Up..."[]

While training a batch of Resistance flight cadets, Roger recounts Chapter 317 of his autobiography. During a pick-up run for the Rebellion, Roger visits Takodana Castle on the planet Takodana. Roger accidentally damages parts of Maz Kanata's castle and disturbs her guests when he loses control of his rocket pack. As compensation, Roger hands his rocket pack to Maz. Back in the present, Roger hands over the cadets back to Poe Dameron.

"The Power at Jakku"[]

Roger reads Chapter 482 of his autobiography to Moxie Freemaker, the daughter of Zander Freemaker and the niece of Kordi Freemaker, who is now a New Republic senator. Roger and the Freemakers come to Lieutenant Valeria's rescue during the Battle of Jakku and help her rebuild her T-47 airspeeder. Roger manages to find the ship's stabilizer while Rowan Freemaker uses the Force to slow down the descent of a stricken Imperial Star Destroyer. Back in the present, Roger and Moxie are visited by Senator Kordi and Princess Leia Organa, the latter of whom recruits Moxie into the Resistance.
