That’s why we set out to create tools that make it easy to add interactive and educational content anywhere.
We are excited to launch the first four Sensei Blocks. Add our new blocks to any WordPress post, page, lesson, and even in courses built with other WordPress LMS plugins.

The Question Block
These will look familiar if you have used Sensei’s quiz features before.
Previously, you could only add questions inside a quiz. Now, the different question types can be placed anywhere.
Even better, show customized feedback depending on if the question is answered correctly or not.

The Flashcard Block
Online courses, sales pages, and lengthy blog posts all struggle to keep the attention and focus of the user. One way to improve how likely someone is to read content is to break it up and require some sort of interaction. Even something as simple as a mouse click can help keep the brain engaged.
Using a flashcard is one easy way to foster interaction.
How do you steal da honey?
Climb tree, put hand in hive.
Add text, videos, images, embeds, and more to both sides of the card with the flashcard block.
Image Hotspot Block
A picture is worth a thousand words, and now you can add additional content to an image to help teach and engage.

Text, videos, lists, headings, audio, and images can be added to each hotspot bubble as well.
Tasklist Block
Unlike a typical list on a website, the Tasklist block allows the user to check off the list items as they go. Good for recipes, trainings, lessons, and more.
In this example, we will share information about all of our new interactive blocks. Check them off as you read them!

Complete customization options are available for all the blocks, including colors, borders, and styles to help them match any theme.

Answers are stored in the local browser, but we don’t store any private user data or question answers in the website database.

All blocks are built with accessibility and keyboard navigation in mind.
What’s Next
These are just the first four interactive blocks with more coming soon.
We’re also working on making it easy to require the completion of blocks and questions before moving on to the next lesson. Even more, you’ll be able to show and hide content based on answers to questions too. The goal is to make it effortless for course creators to develop personalized instruction for learners.
How To Get Started
There are two ways to access our new blocks.
The first is with Sensei Pro ($179 per year) for those using Sensei LMS to create online courses. These blocks are already included in the most recent release and are available now.
The second option is with our new stand-alone Sensei Blocks plugin ($60 per year). With Sensei Blocks, the question, flashcard, image hotspot, and tasklist blocks can be used on any WordPress page, post, or custom post type. Sensei Blocks can be added to any WordPress site – you do not need Sensei LMS to use the blocks.
