You tell us what you’re cooking, we tell you when it’s ready. Making a two-inch steak? Great. Just tap the Start button, and Joule will set a timer for perfect doneness. Get notified when your steak is ready—and we’ll also tell you how much longer it can stay in the water without overcooking.

I've been using this app for about 4 years and I think its very poor. I love the sous vide cooking and the gadget works great for cooking, but the app is so hard to use and frustrating. It's never been improved. The wireless connection works horribly. It takes forever to connect (I have no trouble connecting various other devices on my home network and bluetooth). Once you get it set up, the normal phone screen timeout disconnects the wireless. Aggravating.

Horrible App. No, it isn't my connection so stop sending messages like that. It doesn't work on my android or my Apple products either. I can stream video and game without issue so it isn't me. It doesn't connect via Bluetooth and never finds me via wifi. The hardware could be better if it had actual controls on it when the app fails, but it is 100% dependent on the app. The recipes are good. The connectivity makes me wish I got another brand instead.

The app is has good cooking instructions that include short videos. It's very flaky, if I move to a different app it eventually loses connection to the stick but frequently has trouble reconnecting. If I reload the app it starts from the beginning losing the data from the initial cook time. It's not optimized for a tablet either. It works well with the basics like setting the temperature but after that it's best to set your own timer.

What's new
Notice we’ve gone a little gray (our icon, that is)? We got tired of driving into town to get our color done and are embracing our silver fox status. But not to worry, we’re just laying low and getting ready for the big move over to our new app. We can’t wait to show you around the place. Stay tuned for more.
