Lazy Pacifist - Baruuk

This Baruuk build is made to Cascade Level Cap using Dual Toxo/Kunai/Vasto/[Furis], but works incredibly well in general play.

The build is made around using the Ceramic Dagger to build up part of the Gladiator Mod set and boost Sacrificial Steel.

Synergistic Builds

Subsumes worth considering

  • Nourish

  • Xata's Wisper

  • Wrathful Advance

  • Terrify

  • Warcry

  • Roar

The build lacks the strength, so I would highly advise against using pillage

Archon Shards

I personally use

  • 2 Basic Green - Bonus corrosive stacks

  • 1 Tau Purple - Equilibrium

  • 2 Tau Purple - Melee Crit Damage

I would recommend using a purple for [Equilibrium], but a basic should be enough for energy economy on [Baruuk]. Other shards are optional, I chose green for armour removal for Cascade Level Cap, and purple crit damage for... extra crit damage.

I don't use [Desert Wind] to full armour strip, but any armour removal helps against something that survives the first hit, most enemies will die before [Desert Wind] can fully remove armour including at level cap, due to efficiency I don't use Desert Wind to kill Thrax but can consistently kill trash mobs with around 2-4 hits a level cap.

Explanation of build and decisions made

  • Ceramic Dagger - used due to its ability to get high initial combo without maxing out the combo tier. The [Ceramic Dagger] initial combo makes a 9x on gladiator set then activating [Desert Wind] will add the final 2x combo creating a 11x (Max...) gladiator set, [Sacrificial Pressure] on ceramic will combine with [Desert Wind]'s [Sacrificial Steel] for another (slight) crit chance bonus. The main reason for using ceramic over [Praedos] with Melee Crescendo is so you can quickly build the next tier of combo, let combo timer run out, then resume Desert Wind(ing?)

  • Desert Wind - Most of the build is generic, but the main reason for using toxin is to both kill corpus with minimal effort and gain a stack of corrosive from [Archon Continuity], This will not be a reliable way to full armour strip but will be enough to kill most grineer units at level cap in a few hits. Choosing to go a single element also opens up another mod slot for attack speed.

  • Molt Augmented vs Arcane Strike - After testing Arcane Strike was very nice to have for the build but because of low strength you would not get a consistent status proc on every hit from Reactive Storm and would be losing out on potential damage through Elusive Retribution.

  • Ready Steel - This serves two purposes, first so you can avoid having an initial combo riven for ceramic dagger and to get a 3x melee combo on Desert Wind when combined with Corrupt Charge. (Something to note - if you have initial combo on [Desert Wind] you can gain combo without overwriting your equip melee's combo as long as you don't increase your Desert Wind's combo tier.)

  • Primed Flow - Mainly for purple shards melee crit damage, but also makes shield gating when needed easier and lets you maintain Elude without worry.

  • Archon Continuity - Toxin procs on [Desert Wind] also cause Corrosive procs, this gives Baruuk amazing corpus killing potential and nice grineer damage after a few hits.

  • Overextended (Rank 4) / Augur Reach - Used to meet the baseline 200% range for Elude. Using a lower rank Overextended saves on power strength, and using Augur Reach for the slight Shield Gate.

  • 1 Purple Shard for Equilibrium - Baruuk has almost no need for energy economy, but has very limited mod/arcane space. 20% is enough to sustain off of eximus and trash mob killing in general.
