Aggression ~ A Basic Limbo build

What's that? You just recently crafted a Limbo Prime and are interested in making a build but nothing else comes to mind besides the basic +Dur/-Rng build? Then you've come to the right guide! Welcome to "Aggression ~ A Basic Limbo Build" by LoLISBETTER!

Combo 1:

Scenario - You're playing with a squad but don't want to annoy them with a massive bubble
Step 1: Stasis
Step 2: Banish a group of enemies to the rift
Step 3: Activate Rift Surge to gain damage buff
Step 4: Kill enemies inside the rift

Combo 2:

Scenario - You're playing with a squad but they annoy the hell out of you/You're playing alone
Step 1: Stasis
Step 2: Use Cataclysm on a group of enemies
Step 4: Activate Rift Surge
Step 5: Pop Cataclysm
Step 6: Activate Rift Surge
Step 5: Kill enemies inside the rift

Details:

ABILITY ~ Rift Surge

[Limbo] debuffs any enemies that are inside the rift within his radius. Any time an enemy dies while they have the debuff it gets transferred to enemies in range that are outside the rift. Any time an enemy leaves the rift while they have the debuff, they consume the debuff and re-enter the rift along with anyone within a small radius.

MOD ~ Rift Torrent

For every enemy affected by Rift Surge, [Limbo] gains a damage buff to his weapons whilst he's in the rift.

Questions:

"There are enemies outside the rift with the Rift Surge debuff. Does the debuff do anything when it's not inside the rift?"
~ If [Limbo] doesn't have Rift Torrent equipped that debuff essentially turns into a harmless enemy passive until they are put inside the rift via Banish or Cataclysm. If [Limbo] does have Rift Torrent equipped, it doesn't matter whether the enemy is inside or outside the rift; [Limbo] will gain extra weapon damage for every enemy affected by the debuff.

"I'm a little confused with Rift Torrent. Every enemy affected by Rift Surge will give [Limbo] a damage buff? By how much?"
~ Correct, whilst [Limbo] has Rift Torrent equipped; for every enemy inflicted with the debuff [Limbo] himself gains additive damage to his own weapons. For example, With 200% Ability STR, [Limbo] gains 60% extra weapon damage for every enemy affected by the debuff. This means having only 5 enemies debuffed already gives [Limbo]'s weapons a whopping extra 300% damage bonus that's additive to his weapons. That's a massive damage increase!

"Can I swap out the Primed mods for their non-primed variants?"
~ Feel free to do so! I only used the Primed variants because I simply assumed a lot of people who are interested in crafting Limbo would normally have the mods readily available for use. If either or both mods are unavailable feel free to use the non-primed variants.

"Are the Arcanes required?"
~ Not at all, just like the previous question I merely assumed the person building would have these mods readily available. If you wish to use different Arcanes or don't want to use any at all, you are absolutely free to do so.

"Is it fine if I don't use an Exilus Warframe Adapter and lose out on the extra 15% Ability Strength?"
~ Absolutely! This build requires no Forma at all and if you don't want to use an Exilus Warframe Adapter, you are fine to do so! The damage buff will obviously drop but the strength of the build stays the same! If you have a maxed out Umbral Intensify lying about, you can swap out Intensify and replace it with its Umbral variant to get a similar damage buff!

"Is the build still available even if I don't socket an Orokin Reactor to it?"
~ Actually, it's still possible! Though, the damage buff from Rift Torrent will drop and you're left with the base range for all of your abilities; it's still possible to use this build! Just simply remove Power Drift, Augur Reach, and Stretch, then replace both Primed Continuity and Primed Flow with their non-primed counterparts. Voila! Your [Limbo] is using the bare necessities! You're literally doing a trial run on the guy! I hope you're happy!

"Why [Rolling Guard]? Wouldn't it be beneficial to have the likes of [Quick Thinking], adaption or even [Rapid Resilience] instead or even as alternatives to [Rolling Guard] (sure I understand the belief few seconds of being invincible but the cooldown is the issue)" ~ neafeliteroyalgaurd
~ Excellent question, I chose [Rolling Guard] exactly for one reason: Eximus units. I believe this build is more of a guide than a requirement to play as [Limbo]. I do not wish to force complete and true obedience in following the build just a cheap, easy and reliable build and playstyle for [Limbo]. I merely chose [Rolling Guard] as an answer to Limbo's #1 counter, that being the Eximus units and their ability to ignore Limbo's Rift. They are a high-priority target, even more important than setting up [Limbo]'s Stasis>Cataclysm combo. I've given some thoughts regarding Quick Thinking, Adaptation, and Rapid Resilience. So here are my opinion of each:

Quick Thinking - This mod allows [Limbo]'s energy to act as a secondary HP bar, very useful but very risky as Limbo shouldn't even be hit in the first place. He's not a tanky frame, he has to rely on shield-gating and has the easiest time doing so thanks to his Rift passive. [Quick Thinking] also drains a very important resource to [Limbo] that being his Energy. Which if you understand Rift Surge enough, you'd soon find out that he spams that ability very VERY often and you'll find yourself a half-empty Energy bar which also means you have half the HP bar for [Quick Thinking] to use. I won't stop any players from using it but keep in mind that using this Limbo build I made will have you spamming Rift Surge very often.

Adaptation - This mod is a better and safer option than [Quick Thinking], I believe if the player does have this mod. I might recommend them using this over [Rolling Guard] but I will let them weigh their options for a bit. Will they reliably burst down the annoying Eximus unit before the invincibility timer wears off and they get shot at? Or are they willing to risk dying to obtain powerful resistances from all the enemy damage? In my opinion, I'd rather choose the former as [Limbo] isn't meant to tank hits. He's not meant for that but I do recommend swapping between Rolling Guard and Adaptation from time to time depending on the player's preference.

Rapid Resilience - This is a very strange recommendation; I actually have some conflicts regarding this mod. Its' only defense is against status effects, it doesn't [Protect] [Limbo] against physical attacks nor elemental attacks but simply against status effects. It's a unique mod and I have some thoughts about it. But I find it difficult to see any usage for it. Making this mod the only mod out of the three that I will not recommend adding.

"And what companions as well wouldn't that be beneficial to [Limbo] as well" ~ neafeliteroyalgaurd
~ Whatever you're comfortable with! But in my opinion, the usual [Panzer Vulpaphyla] is enough to give [Limbo] the extra debuffs he needs. If Panzer is not your thing, I suggest [Huras Kubrow] to completely breeze through any Spy missions or have even greater survivability in general thanks to the invisibility + [Limbo]'s Rift. Or my personal favorite: MOA! I have one equipped with [Verglas] and I like to watch it rip enemies to [Shred] while they're unable to stop it from killing them thanks to [Limbo]'s Stasis.

"I have a question!"
~ Type it in the comments then I'll add it here

That's all
