This is Suppression Field [Nyx]. It was the best balance I could strike between usability of her powers and not instantly getting gibbed by trash enemies at every turn. Tried shield gating but even with a dragon key equipped and Brief Respite/2 Augur mods I couldn't fully refill shields in 1 cast without having to severely gimp the efficiency and we need it for ability use. Relies on [Quick Thinking] and [Primed Flow] for a survivability buffer.
Uses Gloom subsumed over Mind Control (1) for the AoE 50% slow field and lifesteal to help refill your limited health which takes a hit frequently. Uses Psychic Bolts (2) to strip 100% of defenses on up to 4 enemies for just under 30 seconds. Use to take down highly armored or priority targets - works great on Acolytes, Demolysts, those annoying crown carrying Corpus purseclutchers in Steel Path, etc. Uses Chaos (3) with the [Chaos Sphere] augment to lay down a persistent field of confusion to help distract enemies and force them to attack each other. Uses Absorb (4) rarely, can be used to defend targets if needed but is not the main focus of the build. Typically you will be casting 1 and leaving active, casting 3 and occasionally refreshing, and casting 2 regularly. Every cast helps refill some shields and every kill helps to refill health with 1 active.
Uses Arcane Energize to keep up with the fairly heavy energy use and keep it available as a buffer for [Quick Thinking]. Uses Arcane Eruption to add additional CC in the form of guaranteed knockdown when picking up energy orbs, adding to the area control theme.
Very fun build to play but if you are solo and in any high level content, you will have a very rough time. With a full squad to distract the enemies, the surviabilty really isn't an issue even in high level Steel Path. A great choice when farming Disruption or Steel Path Acolyte kills with a team.
