🌸💕 Happy Mother's Day 💕🌸 To all the incredible mothers and mother figures out there, thank you for being the roots that anchor us, the sunshine that brightens our days, and the wind beneath our wings. You deserve all the love and appreciation in the world. 💐 We also thank Mother Nature for the wonderful gift of grass. It provides a soft, comforting blanket for family picnics, a lush playground for our children, a vibrant carpet that adds beauty to our living environment and a comfortable playing surface for all sports-loving moms. 💚🌿

Joseph Theodorus Barenbrug, the founder of Barenbrug, was so passionate about grass that he published the booklet 'Money in Grasses' as early as 1908. This was also published for the US market at the time. Today, we still strive to provide high-yielding and resilient grass solutions to our farmers around the world to maximise the productivity and profitability of their farms. For every climate and its challenges, we offer profitable innovations in grasses, cover crops and legumes to sustainably feed the world. #120anniversaryBarenbrug

This year we celebrate Barenbrug's 120th anniversary! Breeding and technology are the lifeblood of Barenbrug. That is how we started in 1904 and that is how we are still doing it. Still true to these principles, we concentrate our efforts on developing grasses and forage legumes. With the ever-changing tides of global climate, evolving regulations, and dynamic shifts in the feed-to-food chain, our international R&D teams center their efforts on responding proactively to our customers' needs. We constantly seek to understand their business and provide tailor-made solutions to maximise value. Our solutions are subjected to rigorous testing not only locally, but also worldwide, backed by numerous official tests. Thanks to this strict approach, we consistently achieve top positions on lists of recommended varieties around the world. Barenbrug's R&D is committed in every way to the global mission: to feed the world sustainably and enhance the beauty of green spaces.

From trading lambs to studying agriculture, Angus Grant's journey to receiving the Barenbrug New Zealand scholarship has been fuelled by a passion for farming 🌱 Angus is the first recipient of the new Barenbrug Plant Science Innovation Undergraduate Scholarship, and we couldn’t be prouder. Lincoln’s relationship with Barenbrug goes beyond just research, enjoying many existing connections and approximately a third of Barenbrug’s staff are proudly Lincoln alumni. As part of the scholarship, Angus will spend a day out at the research station which will be a great opportunity for him to get a taste of how a global commercial agricultural company functions. To discover how Barenbrug and Lincoln's partnership is supporting the next generation of farmers through scholarships, head to the link to read more: https://lnkd.in/gHguziZi

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting the NZIPIM Canterbury branch yesterday on our research farm at Courtenay. Great tour about new plant breeding technology, future pasture systems, and how we continually deliver top-quality seed. Also looked at a 500-plot clover nursery, which is a “training population” for genotypic selection – correlating DNA sequences with traits like yield, and spread - to improve breeding speed and effectiveness. #PlantBreeding #PastureSystems #BetterPastureTogether #BarenbrugNZ

    Executive Producer at Resonate

There’s something to be said about long term strategies (and relationships) in Advertising. Seen any of those ads on TV recently? We’ve been producing for Barenbrug New Zealand and Harvey Cameron for 5+ years, and I have to take my hat off to such a well executed long haul strategy, producing a consistent suite of TVCs that can now take turns on TV prime time. Advertising film production is such an intense, but ephemeral process. TVCs are out of air and replaced by something new as quickly as they were produced (and if you work in production, you know the level of “quick” I’m talking about). Seeing this suite of ads on TV speaks highly to their relationship, long-term strategy and efficient use of budget, building a collection of assets that complement each other, adding new films annually rather than replacing. As someone wise once said (Bill Gates if I'm not wrong), and I use here to wisely decorate my post: “We overestimate what we can achieve in 1 year, and we underestimate what we can achieve in 10 years” Kudos to the Harvey Cameron team Alan Kang, Neil Cameron, Lori Kingan, Barenbrug NZ Jo Brady, Graham Kerr, and more recently the Barenbrug Australia team Daniela Olivetti, Jarryd Bravo (Yes, also starting to air in Australia :) #filmproduction #advertisingstrategy
