2020 Asheville Modernism Tour

Hi Folks! We are looking for a few additional submission for our Modern tour this year. Our regional organizing partner, the Atlanta Design Festival, is hoping to receive submissions of homes and commercial spaces this month. If you are an architect, builder or home owner who wants to be on this curated tour go here to download the application. {See pages 32-35} Selections will be chosen following.

Our Asheville ticketed tour in 2020 will be on Saturday, May 30th from 10am to 4pm to regionally kick off the week long design festival. We are pleased to note that Black Mountain College Museum and Arts Center will be part of the tour this year and hosting a pre-tour event on Friday the 29th.

Here were the homes on the Asheville tour last year. We hope you will join in the fun for our 6th year hosting the tour. Cheers! Kelly and Troy

Our regional organizing partner, the Atlanta Design Festival, is hoping receive submissions of homes and commercial spaces this month. What a beautiful day it was in Asheville to experience even more beautiful homes. Thanks to all the homeowners, architects, designers and builders who hosted at the open homes yesterday. 2019 Modern Tour Submissions

Hi All. This week is our last call for submissions for our Modern Tour. The folks at the Atlanta Design Festival and Modern Asheville are partnering again to host the annual Architecture Tour in Asheville, NC on Saturday, June 1, 2019, 10am – 4pm. We are looking for 5-6 excellent contemporary and modern projects to showcase. Projects will be published in the MA Design is Human Book and Tour Guide.

Please include a description of the project including full address, architects, developers, designers, landscapers, etc. and photographers (if needed). Description should include special features and details of the home, LEED or Green features, plan design, any before and after information, etc. You can submit details HERE. Once the Design Festival folks receive your submission, MA! will reach out for photos and completion of the Tour contract.

MA2MA | 2017 Modern Home Tour

Did you miss it? We had another great modern home tour this past weekend kicked off by a Pre-Tour Mixer on Friday night at Splurge Design with the Modern Atlanta crew. This was our third year for the tour which grows yearly.

Saturday, we had five homes open. Kelly and I cruised to all five of the mindfully designed modernist homes throughout Asheville. We saw lots of smiles out there. Here are some of the photos. Feel free to send us some of yours to add to our collection.
