Minecraft Servers Wiki

Where is the Template:Advert when you need it?

I understand that the content of this page isn't a representation of Minecraft, but can someone do something to improve the objectivity of this page? A wiki is meant to be informative, not persuasive.

To quote Wikipedia's Advert Template for example and reference:

"This article is written like an advertisement. Please help rewrite this article from a neutral point of view."

If nothing else a comparison to other mods should be added or at least referenced. 99.99.214.135 21:05, 20 November 2011 (UTC)

Remove tag[]

I think we should remove that "The contents of this page are not supported by Mojang, the Minecraft Wiki, the Minecraft IRC Channel or the Minecraft Forums. " tag because Bukkit and Mojang do work together now. --RedMser 12:44, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

The Bukkit staff are now working for Mojang, but they are making a new server API; the current Bukkit software is not and will not be officially supported by Mojang. -- Orthotope 19:46, 11 April 2012 (UTC)

Slanted? Hell yes![]

"...others were angry at hey0 because they felt entitled..."

True or not describing another's attitude as 'entitled' is venting, not reporting. I don't have the skill or background knowledge to correct and would probably replace with something equally inflammatory like "...others felt betrayed by hey0's abandonment..." or something equally smarmy.

Is there an objective and knowledgeable soul out there that remove the drama from this article?

Dynamically updating sizes/versions[]

I've made a set of scripts that create images. They update every 24 hrs (cached to prevent load) and provide info on the size of the latest CraftBukkit & Bukkit dev builds as well as the latest compatible Minecraft versions for the dev, beta and RB builds. Finally, it also gives info on the latest build numbers of CraftBukkit and Bukkit.

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to include it on the wiki (I have a feeling remotely embedding images will be blocked) but I'll give the URLs in the hope it might be useful at some point.

I'm also working on something of a rewrite of this article, over at User:lol768/Bukkit. Feedback is welcome. Lol768 21:02, 22 May 2013 (UTC)
