Verify Before Providing Access to Tools

Before giving them access to anything, make sure:

  • The Community Team Contributor agreement has been signed.
  • If they have, set them up with tools that follow

  • Add to the WordPress Community Supporters & Managers spreadsheet and Community Team Supporters and Managers handbook page
  • Add to community-program-supporters Slack channel depending on role
  • Access to WC Central, to review event and MeetupMeetup Meetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month). Learn more about Meetups in our Meetup Organizer Handbook. applications
    • set role to Editor
  • Access to Make/Community
    • set role to Author
  • Access to Help Scout limited to Community Team Inbox – to follow up with the applicants after vetting

We have a new Community team Supporter. Could you please help add FULL NAME (Slack & WP.org username) to the @program-supporters tag on Make WordPress Slack to get notifications, and give them access to both the Meetups and WordCamps tracker.

Once they’ve done a certain amount of application review and gained some backend organizing experiences, give them access to these tools.

  • Access to Calendly – to give Meetup orientation and WC orientation
  • Hellosign login info

Note: We never share our meetup.com admin account with anyone outside of Tardis, except Timi & Kevin.
