Community Team Event Supporters and Program Supporters often deal with sensitive information and situations. To serve in these roles, contributors must represent the WordPress community in a positive way and are asked to sign an agreement that they will keep information confidential.
Event Supporters are volunteers who have experience with WordPress Community events and want to help other organizers. The primary goal of this role is to mentor event organizers throughout the planning process. Drawing on their own past experience and Community Team documentation, Event Supporters meet regularly with the event organizer who they are mentoring. Event Supporters may also vet meetupMeetupMeetup groups are locally-organized groups that get together for face-to-face events on a regular basis (commonly once a month).
